Clément Beaune, Minister of State for European Affairs, who is affiliated with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, met on February 8 by video conference with Jadranka Joksimovic, Serbian Minister for European Integration.

The Minister of State reiterated France’s support for Serbia’s strategic decision in support of EU accession and for its efforts to implement the necessary reforms, particularly with regard to the rule of law, which is at the heart of the European project. Reforming the accession process makes this process more credible, engaging and reversible.

Finally, regarding the response to Covid-19, the Minister of State reiterated France’s desire to increase EU support to neighboring countries.
