The Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral announced that current legal issues, including the issue of the Basic Agreement between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the state of Montenegro, were discussed at the meeting of its legal council, held yesterday.

The Metropolitan adds that a dialogue is being held between the contracting parties with the aim of agreeing and signing it as soon as possible.

“All media speculations and manipulations that have been and are progressing can only harm the mentioned dialogue between the Church and the state, which, in the opinion of the Legal Council, is heading towards a positive and expected outcome,” the statement said.

The regular meeting of the Legal Council of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral in Podgorica was attended by members of the Council, as well as Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Joanikije and Bishops Dimitrije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and newly elected Bishop of Budva-Niksic Methodius.

For this, the Municipality of Prishtina has taken measures by eliminating harmful wood.

Mayor Shpend Ahmeti said that he will continue the action for the elimination of this type of wood in order to prevent the damage that this type of wood causes.

Today, the Municipality of Prishtina treats the island in the middle of Agim Ramadani Street, in which case the harmful wood Arra e Hindit was eliminated. According to experts, Walnut is known as the type of wood that causes damage to road infrastructure, buildings and houses, damage to sewers, drying of indigenous species of trees but also to human health by releasing toxic substances.

The Municipality of Prishtina will continue the action for the elimination of this type of wood in order to prevent the damage that this type of wood causes.
