During her stay in New York, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met with the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, whom he thanked for his country’s contribution to Kosovo.

Relations between the two countries were assessed as good, as President Osmani asked the Prime Minister of Kuwait for support for this country to continue supporting Kosovo to further strengthen international subjectivity.

In this context, according to the announcement by the Presidency, it is said that Osmani sought the support of Prime Minister Al-Hamad Al-Sabah in Kosovo’s efforts for membership in international organizations, as well as to exercise positive influence in the countries of the Islamic Organization, which have not recognized Kosovo’s independence to do so, given that Kosovo’s independence is an irreversible reality and serves stability and peace in the region.

She further expressed her readiness to deepen relations with Kuwait. In this context, she mentions the presence of KSF soldiers in the peacekeeping mission in Kuwait, who are in this country as part of the joint engagement with American soldiers from the Iowa Guard.

Osmani and Prime Minister Al-Hamad Al-Sabah agreed to finalize the signing of several agreements, including one on “Status of Members of the Kosovo Security Force during their Temporary Station in the State of Kuwait”.

The President stressed that Kosovo intends to finalize an agreement on mutual protection and promotion of foreign investment.

Meanwhile, regarding the current situation in Kosovo, President Osmani stressed that the Kosovo side intends to continue the dialogue with Serbia.

“The dialogue with Serbia must be concluded with mutual recognition,” said President Osmani.

Prime Minister Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, meanwhile, congratulated Kosovo on its achievements and expressed readiness for further cooperation between the two countries, as well as the implementation of important projects, which would serve the people of Kosovo.

Both sides agreed on further deepening of diplomatic relations, and welcomed the idea of ​​opening a Kosovo embassy in Kuwait and a Kuwaiti embassy in Kosovo. / Voice

In the KSF barracks “Adem Jashari” was held the landing ceremony of the contingent of the Kosovo Security Force in the first peacekeeping mission abroad.

Acting President, Vjosa Osmani, said that she feels honored to be part of the ceremony of launching the KSF in the peacekeeping mission.

“I feel honored to be the supreme commander in launching our troops on the peacekeeping mission in Kuwait. “I am here today to tell you a single sentence: God save you and thank you!”

Osmani said that during this time as acting president this is the thing that has made him most proud.

She said that it is a great achievement that Kosovo is now a contributor to world peace.

According to her, such a thing would not be possible without US assistance, adding that Kosovo will always be an ally of America.

“Anyone who attacks America has attacked Kosovo. “These two countries will always find the alliance in each other”, said Osamni, expressing confidence that the members of the KSF will perform their duty with responsibility and professionalism. / EO
