Distria Krasniqi was the first to open the competition for Kosovo at the Olympic Games being held in Tokyo.

Our judoka starts this whole journey, after winning the gold medal, thus taking the first step.

But, tomorrow (Sunday), our country will be represented by three other athletes in different competitions.

At 02:00 in the morning with our time, the race will be started by the shooter Drilon Ibrahimi.

Majlinda Kelmendi competes in judo at 4:00 according to our local time and if everything goes well, the final will be held at 11:00.

At 12:00, Eda Zeqiri will have the opportunity to bring medals to Kosovo, after competing in swimming.

Hope all three of our contestants close tomorrow’s medal race.

Olympic champion in judo, Majlinda Kelmendi and European champion in judo 2021, Akil Gjakova, will carry the flag of Kosovo at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, reports KOK, writes Zeri.info.

Due to gender equality, the International Olympic Committee has decided that at the opening ceremony of LO Tokyo 2020, bayraktars will be two athletes of different genders.

In the closing ceremony, the bayraktar will be Egzon Shala.

Kelmendi also carried the flag at the opening ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The Kosovo Olympic team consists of 11 athletes.

The opening ceremony takes place on July 23 at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium, starting at 13:00 local time and at 20:00 Japan local time. /Zeri.info
