Italy announced today that passengers arriving from the UK will have to stay in quarantine again, while many other countries will be able to enter freely if they possess the antiCOVID-19 health passport.

Mandatory quarantine for passengers coming from the UK will take effect on Monday 21 June, the Ministry of Health stressed.

“I have signed a new order that allows entry from the countries of the European Union and the US, Canada and Japan with a green certificate”, announced the Italian Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza on Facebook, reports ATSh.

“The green certificate is a health certificate that certifies the vaccination, treatment or negativity of an antiCovid-19 test,” the minister announced.

Speranza also clarified that travelers from the UK, a country where the Delta variant is prevalent, will have to stay in a five-day quarantine and undergo an antiCovid test.

Italy also extended the ban on entry into national territory for travelers coming from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Italy has so far administered more than 44 million doses of the antiCOVID-19 vaccine.

Spain today extended until early May the quarantine obligation for all travelers arriving in its territory from 12 countries such as Brazil, Peru, Colombia and nine African countries, due to fears about coronavirus variants.

Spain justified this decision with concern regarding the Brazilian and South African variants and their spread to neighboring countries, especially because of their rapid spread, risk of re-infection and a possible reduction in vaccine efficacy.

“Travelers arriving from Brazil, South Africa, Botswana, Comoros, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Peru and Colombia with or without intermediate stops must remain in quarantine for ten days upon arrival or during the time of their stay in Spain if it is less than this duration “, according to the decision published in the Official Gazette of the State, reports ATSh.

This isolation period can be reduced to seven days if the person presents a negative PCR test.

“During this quarantine, persons must stay in their home or in their places of residence and are allowed to go out only to buy food, medicine and necessary things, to seek treatment”, according to the decision.

The measure will remain in force until at least May 3.

Spain, one of the European countries most affected by the pandemic with nearly 77,000 deaths and more than 3.4 million cases, has banned the arrival of passengers from South Africa and Brazil for several weeks, except for nationals. Spaniards and foreigners in Spain or Andorra.

Why There Were Riots In Serbia During Amira's Quarantine

90-day fiancé Amira Lollysa was quarantined in Belgrade before meeting Andrew Kenton. But the Serbian riots made their experience very frightening.

A new episode of 90 days fiance In season eight, Andrew Kenton finds a new way to disappoint Amira Lollysa and fans alike. After a failed Mexico plan and Amira’s countless requests for visa extensions, Andrew still insisted on sending her to Serbia. The Franco-Egyptian woman, unwilling to disappoint her future husband, rejected her father’s pleas and COVID-19 warnings to enter the country. However, immediately after her quarantine began, Amira dealt with the Serbian protests in 2020. Here was what the protests during Amira’s stay in Belgrade were about.

It’s off the pan and on fire for Amira at the 90-day fiancé as she strives to please Andrew while struggling not to tease him. Fans have wondered what Amira is seeing at the daycare that has repeatedly asked her to bend backwards as she follows his plans. This week was a whole new series of complications for Amira, who was struggling to find food in Serbia, claiming Andrew hadn’t even called her. But when the TLC couple got a video chat, Andrew brought up the topic of children when he got baby fever after his sister’s pregnancy. Among the 90-day fiancés celebrating that Amira may not have got on the plane to America after all, many marveled at her safety amid the ongoing unrest in Serbia.

While the status of the events in Serbia was not investigated in episode 14, news outlets such as the BBC reported that protests and riots had started on July 7, 2020 in the capital Belgrade. Amid a surge in growing coronavirus cases, the government reported decided to impose a lockdown. This move was rejected by many Serbs, particularly because many believed that President Alexander Vucic had poorly managed the pandemic. By July, cases had increased and the government decided to issue another lockdown. To oppose this decision, protests were organized in many places, the most important of which was outside the Parliament building in Belgrade.

Over the next two days, both police and paramilitary soldiers were called in to control the situation. However, this only led to further clashes. Many peaceful and violent protests took place across Serbia over the next seven days. When videos of police brutality and mass arrests hit the internet, many citizens decided that it was best to stay there. The mounting tensions also left tourists and visitors stuck in their homes and hotels. Although the situation dissipated within a week, many small protests continued until December 2020. Although the situation improved somewhat, there was what appeared to be a cloud of fear in the second half of the year.

Amira, who lives in Saumur, arrived in Serbia in July 2020, where she had to be quarantined for 14 days while filming her own scenes for the 90-day fiancé. Amira only had 18 days until her K-1 visa expired. She complained that she had difficulty sleeping because of the police sirens during the riot and said it was “really scary”. With room service unavailable, Amira claimed she was “scared to death” every time she had to get out to get food. In episode 14, Andrew was seen crying because his 90-day fiancé didn’t get on their plane. While some fans cheered Amira on to finally drop Andrew, others worried about her safety. However, Amira was shown well and was waiting for the next week’s episode in the previews at the airport. While Amira may have had a nightmare in Belgrave, Andrew is now the one who’s scared his partner won’t make it to America.

Travelers from Spain and Serbia still have to self-isolate when traveling to Scotland, the decentralized government in Edinburgh said on Wednesday, despite the British government having previously lifted restrictions.

London last week canceled coronavirus quarantine for travelers coming to the UK from 59 countries and territories, including Spain and other major European destinations, but not the US.

However, Scotland complained that it was not properly consulted during the decision-making process.

The decentralized administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can each have their own health regulations, while England follows the regulations announced by the UK government in London.

First Scottish Minister Nicolas Sturgeon said infection rates in Spain were still too high to make travel safe.

“I know how many people from Scotland love to travel to Spain and I know how much we love to welcome Spanish tourists,” she told reporters.

“I hope these restrictions can be eased soon, and possibly very soon.”

The Serbian capital Belgrade was hit Tuesday by violent protests over a weekend curfew after a surge in infections.

Sturgeon insisted that there would be no “go” around the restrictions, warning that Scottish officials had the travel details of those entering English airports.

Sturgeon, who has repeatedly upset London by taking stricter measures during the outbreak, said the virus is less common in Scotland than other parts of the UK.

“This is relevant to the decisions we make about quarantine,” she said.

Sturgeon’s Scottish National Party (SNP) has urged British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to approve a new independence referendum for England’s northern neighbors.

Johnson has steadfastly refused, but polls show that sentiment of independence rose following the split between Britain and the European Union, against which most Scottish voters spoke out.

A poll for the Sunday Times last weekend found that Sturgeon’s handling of the coronavirus crisis helped boost Scotland’s support for independence to 54 percent.

In the 2014 independence referendum, 45 percent voted for 55 percent who wanted to keep the three-century-old union.
