The Municipality of Prishtina is drafting the municipal development plan and the zonal map of the municipality.

Until July 2, the call for public discussion regarding the development scenarios of the city is open.

Independent assembly member, Fiknete Bejta through a post has invited citizens to participate in consultations to solve property problems through the new zonal map.

The Municipality of Prishtina is at an important stage of drafting the municipal development plan and the zonal map of the municipality. The call for public discussion on the city’s development scenarios is open until July 2. The past zoning map has been discriminatory for a majority of residents by arbitrarily placing their properties from the construction area to the green area.

While for some oligarchs they have created oases of construction within the green areas. It is okay to increase green spaces, but even the “confiscation” of property without giving you a solution is unfair and the basic right to property is not respected.

Expropriation, exchange and inclusion in construction coefficients are some of the solutions that should be made by the Municipality to these residents who have been deprived of their “property rights”.

I encourage all citizens of Prishtina to participate in these consultations in order to solve property problems through the new Zonal Map which is the most important document of sustainable development of the Municipality.
