After 22 years, the Duraku family from Krusha e Madhe returns the uniform of the martyred boy.

The uniform of the boy killed in the war is easy for them to recognize.

This uniform, which now stands in the room of the Duraku family, was once proudly worn by the KLA fighter from Krusha e Madhe, Enver Duraku.

The latter was wounded on March 28, 1999 during fierce fighting with Serbian forces in the village of Dobërdolan in Suhareka.

He died a few days later from his injuries.

And after 22 years, the uniform of the 20-year-old martyr was returned to the family by his comrades-in-arms.

While this, for his mother, Fetije, eased a little the pain for the killed son.

Now in old age, Fetije’s mother remembers in detail the last meeting with the youngest son of the house, Enver.

But, shortly after that, Fetije Duraku received the news that her son with friends has been released.

But, despite this, the younger generations have taken the place of the old in this house.

One of them is the one-year-old Enver Duraku.

But, in addition to Enver, the Duraku family lost many other family members in the war.

The Acting President of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, today paid homage to Krusha e Madhe and Krusha e Vogel.

Konjufca said that every time we come here we understand even better that Kosovo has three wounds, which according to him, what is worse, are open wounds of the Republic of Kosovo and its people.

“The first wound is the massacre that took place. The people here, the Krushians have experienced horror in a massacre which has left hundreds and hundreds dead. The second plague is that there are also empty cemeteries here. Some of the cemeteries are empty, which reminds us once again that Serbia has kidnapped our loved ones and family members and never returned them. Their fate has not yet been revealed, and this is an open wound in the body of our state, of our people. The third plague I would say is the lack of justice. There has never been justice for the family members who lost their loved ones, they were massacred, abducted, it is not known about a part of them, about their fate and the family members now 22 years from that date live every day with the weight, and with the severe suffering for the unsolved fate of their family members “, he said.

He also remembered the great intellectual and patriot, Ukshin Hoti.

“Let us not forget that one of the most prominent personalities of the Albanian nation was born here, it is his birthplace and he had the same fate, I am talking about our great intellectual and patriot Ukshin Hoti, who disappeared in the month May 1999 by Serbian police forces, and nothing has been known about his fate since. “Institutions must do significantly more than they have done before for all that I told them, including clarifying the fate of Ukshin Hoti”, said Konjufca.

According to him, the blood of the fallen of Krusha e Madhe and Krusha e Vogel lies in the foundations of our state, lies in the foundations of the freedom of the Republic of Kosovo.

Acting President Konjufca also paid tribute to Krusha e Vogel, in honor of the martyrs killed in the massacre carried out by the Serbian military and paramilitary police forces in March 1999.

He said that Serbia absolutely did not receive the deserved punishment as a state for all those genocidal actions, the genocide he committed in Kosovo during the last war of 98-99.

“In Serbia, not only are thousands of war criminals free and unpunished, untreated by justice, but what is worse, through the current policy pursued by the state representatives of Serbia, they are showing us that Serbia is “It is not detached from the logic of that power which caused the genocide in Kosovo during the last war,” he said.

According to him, the actions of our institutions have sometimes caused great dissatisfaction to the families of the victims of the massacre of Krusha e Vogel.

“For example, halving the sentence of one of the war criminals, who was convicted by our courts for active participation in the massacre of Krusha e Vogel, has caused deep indignation among all the people of Kosovo, but especially the family members who they lost their loved ones during this massacre. “This has not been a good signal from our institutions that war crimes cases will be prosecuted and punished,” said Konjufca.

Today, on the 22nd anniversary of the Krusha e Madhe massacre, presidential candidate Vjosa Osmani commemorated her.

Osmani said that the massacre of this village still remains an open wound for a part of her family.

“Today marks 22 years since the massacre of Krusha e Madhe, which in addition to authentic evidence of the action of the genocidal regime of Serbia, still remains an open wound for a part of the family of this village. “They are very missing, whose fate still remains hostage, worry and anxiety not only for family members, but also for the state of Kosovo”, she wrote in a post on “Facebook”.

She also stressed that on this day we understand the weight and the price we paid for the freedom of the country.

Today marks 22 years since the massacre of Krusha e Madhe, which in addition to authentic evidence of the action of the genocidal regime of Serbia, still remains an open wound for some of the family members of this village.
