Yesterday, the news circulated in the media that the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, has removed the tax for building blocks imported from Serbia.

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has reacted in this regard, saying that a few months ago Lëvizja Vetëvendosje said that in the first days of government they would establish full reciprocity with Serbia, while now it is removing all protective measures.

“In the opposition they knocked down the trucks coming from Serbia, now in power, Vetëvendosje welcomes the construction material from Serbia and removes the barriers that the previous governments had set! They came to power by deceiving the citizens, proclaiming that Kosovo was economically subject to Serbia and that the previous governments of Kosovo were traitors for these actions. But, as soon as they came to power, they repealed the protection measure of 2016 for local producers of construction materials and opened the doors of the Kosovo market to producers from Serbia. “The party that a few months ago declared that in the first days of government would establish full reciprocity with Serbia, now in power is removing all protective measures against Serbia”, it is said in their reaction.

According to them, the “reasoning” of the Government that the deadline for the 2016 decision has expired, is unacceptable.

“It is unacceptable, if not ridiculous, the reasoning of the Government that the term of the decision of 2016 has expired and that they will make another investigation to decide again this measure. Why the Government and the ministry did not do this investigation earlier and then make the decision. They have absolute power in the Government and a majority in the Assembly. “They have the political power and enough numbers to issue new decisions that protect local producers and, if necessary, to change laws in the Assembly”, said the LDK.

“What they had in abundance when they were in opposition, the many empty words, lynchings and humiliations do not serve you in power now. Governance requires knowledge, which they do not have; it takes courage, which they are not finding; it takes creativity, not even knowing what it is. “While the price of their empty patriotism, where other parties insult and humiliate with words and embrace Serbian products with decisions, will be paid by Kosovar producers and our citizens”, it is said in the reaction of LDK. / Voice
