Compulsory vaccination for teachers, Manastirliu: This is the deadline they have

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, accompanied by the Rector of the Medical University in Tirana, prof. Arben Gjata, have followed the process of vaccination of students at the Vaccination Center at the Stadium “Air Albania”, where they have appealed for mass vaccination, as a necessity to return to the auditorium. Minister Manastirliu said that during this month the focus is on vaccination of teachers, professors and students, while he indicated that with the start of school, the vaccination process will be done in universities and dormitories.

We are mainly working with the city center “Student” and for all those students who will be registered and who will go to dormitories, it is necessary to be vaccinated. But on the other hand, for all students it is already known that vaccination is also a condition to be as free as possible in the auditorium. We have decided that as soon as the schools start, we will move to universities, in each of the universities, according to a calendar that is being organized by the Local Unit of Tirana, but on the other hand, the Local Units in all districts where there are universities will be able to so that we can be in every university, in every faculty to do the vaccination for all those students or even professors who have not done it yet “, said Manastirliu.

The Minister of Health stressed that more than 60% of teachers have completed both doses of vaccine against Covid19, while expressing optimism for the increase of vaccine coverage during this month.

“For pedagogues and teachers, we have set a deadline of 30 September, in order to complete this process. There are more than 60% of teachers who have already done both doses, so they have been fully vaccinated. While we are still waiting these days and I am convinced that within September we will achieve very good results in terms of vaccine coverage in the category of teachers and pedagogues, but also educators of kindergartens and nurseries as they are also in the focus of our work. daily regarding vaccination “, said Manastirliu.
Rector of the University of Medicine, prof. Arben Gjata has called on students to be vaccinated so that the learning process and internships continue normally.

“I want to thank you for this decision because even in the meeting of the senate, we asked you especially for the students of our universities to be vaccinated with priority, as it is impossible to do practical lessons and students can go to patients, if they are not vaccinated because there is a very high risk and it is a pleasure for us to open this window for you. We have made everyone, whether as rector, dean or dean, we have called on all our students to be vaccinated during this period because it is very necessary “, said prof. Long.

September is the month open for anticovid vaccination for all citizens over 18 years of age, who can present their ID card at the nearest vaccination center to get vaccinated against COVID19. So far, 1,982,130 anticovid vaccines have arrived in our country. A total of 1,539,232 vaccinations were performed, of which 673,951 citizens received both doses of the antiCOVID vaccine. /abcnews.al

Croatian Minister of Science and Education Radovan Fuchs, on the eve of a close cabinet meeting, commented on teachers’ response to the call to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

“Data on those who are interested in vaccination from the education system have been processed. This does not mean that the lists are closed, they will still be able to apply, but this is an immediate overview of the situation. This interest varies by county. We have a county where interest is expressed for only 16%, and a county where it is somewhere around 46%, with the city of Zagreb over 40%. We have to take into account that some educators are also vaccinated, and on the other hand, the same thing has to be taken into account is that a part of the teachers who had chronic diseases were vaccinated at the first vaccination opportunities and we have about 12% of the workers “They have been infected with Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic,” said Fuchs.

Asked why teachers are so skeptical about vaccination, Fuchs said he does not know.

“It simply came to our notice then. “I was expecting a more appropriate response to vaccines, and now that we have reached the stage where everything is organized, we do not have such an ideal response.”

“If you ask me, negative marketing is done for a good vaccine,” Fuchs said. / eo

SBASHK welcomes the return of students to schools, reiterates the request for vaccination of teachers

The United Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture (SBAShK) has welcomed the news that pre-university and high school students will return to school on Monday.

SBAShK President Rrahman Jasharaj said that he is happy with the fact that students will return to schools from April 19, adding that teachers prefer teaching in schools as well as for the benefit of students.

“We have welcomed this news because even from the beginning, Kosovo teachers have stated that they much prefer teaching in educational institutions due to the fact that both parents and citizens of Kosovo have expressed that teaching in schools is easier to do even the MES statistics show that a large number of them could not be connected and not through their own fault, but in the absence of technological conditions and equipment ”.

“… The moment of returning to schools is another proof of the commitment of education workers but I believe that both institutions and the state should respond in the same way and the state of Kosovo should do its best to find international friends to ensure as much more vaccines so that our demand because in this way we will be safer ”.

Jasharaj further said that all preparations have been made in school facilities, starting with disinfection.

“We have contact with our colleagues in schools and they said that during the spring break an additional commitment was made, school facilities were disinfected, working conditions are optimal, and I believe that with the care that education workers will have, I wish that students to protect themselves ”.

He also spoke about the meeting he had last week with the Minister of Health Arben Vitia, where he said that they have repeated the request to give priority to the vaccination of teachers, reports EO.

“Last week we had Minister Vitia and we talked and we repeated that teachers should be a priority in vaccination and once the stage for vaccination of the elderly is completed, it is expected that another contingent will be vaccinated and will do to give priority to education workers, maybe not all but to make a selection ”.

The Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci has announced that from Monday, April 19, at all levels of pre-university education, teaching will continue with physical participation in schools.
