Slovenian opponents of measures to fight the coronavirus tonight gathered in Republic Square in Ljubljana. They criticized the government, chanting calls for his resignation. Two hours later, they lit torches and started throwing them at the Slovenian Parliament, N1 Slovenia reported.

Several police officers were injured in the riots and helicopters were seen flying over the city. The protests, in which the police estimated that more than 8,000 people participated, calmed down around 22:30, Zeri.info reports.

The protesters, who gathered today in Republic Square in Ljubljana, had two demands: change of measures to fight Covid-19 in recommendations and early elections.

Prior to the protest, organizers called for a peaceful rally, but the incident occurred as soon as an unknown person threw a bottle at one of the police officers guarding the rally. The crowd also approached the entrance to the Parliament building. The police therefore increased their presence before the National Assembly.

“When we play football, ‘Viola’ and ‘Green Dragons’ are on opposite sides, but when it comes to Slovenia, they are together,” said one protester, confirming that the two largest groups of fans in the country are attend the rally.

Turna also questioned all the scientific findings and indisputable facts about the coronavirus and vaccines.

As the crowd approached Parliament and threw torches, police responded with tear gas and dispersed them. Then they used water balls several times. Many protesters left, while torches and tear gas continued to fly. Protesters continued to throw stones at a parked police car.

Some police vehicles, shops, cars were broken into, containers burned.

Unvaccinated Slovenes were banned from buying fuel

The first day of application of stricter anti-epidemic measures in Slovenia was marked by dissatisfaction among drivers who could not refuel their vehicles without a confirmation of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Most fuel companies are strictly adhering to the SVT (sick, vaccinated, tested) status rules that the government approved on Saturday, meaning that the fuel pump is only activated when the driver certifies with documents that he has exceeded Covid-19, that he has been vaccinated or has a negative test not older than 48 hours.

We remind you that the government in Slovenia has introduced the obligation of COVID certificates for all people – at work, during shopping, on public transport and in a number of other daily activities. The government announced that the possibility of imposing even stricter measures is not ruled out.

Yesterday, after 6645 PCR tests, 1364 people tested positive. 76 people are being treated in intensive care, and six patients with Covid-19 have died.

According to the Slovenian National Institute of Public Health, there are currently 11,238 active cases of infection in the country.

Although interest in vaccination is growing, sufficient vaccination coverage has not yet been achieved. Currently, 50 percent of the population has been vaccinated with a single dose, and 45 percent or 947,759 people have been completely immunized. / Voice

Vitia: There will be measures for the unvaccinated

The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, has called for vaccination against Covid-19, adding that the Delta variant is not sparing children either.

“There is no alternative but vaccination. With the introduction of Delta it is clear that any conventional measure will not have the success it had before this variant. “There are 290 vaccination teams throughout Kosovo, this process will continue with the increase in the number of teams, as in Pristina”, he said.

“As of Monday, we are in meetings to review the new measures that will be in line with the institutionalization of citizens for vaccination. There are enough vaccines, they are safe and there is no reason not to be vaccinated. There are many children infected in the last wave. “This is an alarm to be aware.”

“There is enough vaccine and there is no reason not to be vaccinated, and there will be measures for those who have not been vaccinated. “In many regional hospitals they are not very good, they have been like that and it has been impossible to intervene as a result of Covid-19, we are trying to intervene in the conditions on the pandemic condition, oxygenation and creating better conditions for vaccination”, said Vitia. / EO

GREEK MINISTER REMOVED ALL DILEMMAS: The EVZONI crossing opens on May 14 - BROTHER SERBS, WELCOME!

This will significantly increase the cost of summer vacations, so it is clear that it is much better for everyone who plans to travel to be vaccinated.

The calculation shows that both parents, as well as the child, will have to pay dearly for the PCR test. Testing in Serbia costs 9,000 dinars, so the three of them will pay 27,000 dinars. To return to Serbia, they will need a PCR test, which in Greece costs around 10,500 dinars per person, which is 31,500 dinars for three members. When we add to that the 27,000 who were allowed to travel to Greece, we come to the figure of 58,500 dinars that they only need for testing, and how much more money for accommodation and stay at sea ?!

Cheaper and safer

Greece announced on Monday that it will receive vaccination certificates for all vaccines available in Serbia, as well as a negative result on PCR and antigen test, and the director of the National Association of Travel Agencies of Serbia (“Utah”), Aleksandar Senicic, says that currently only vaccinated people do not need any tests. .

– PCR test is relatively expensive and there was an idea that there is some additional option. In Greece, the PCR test is even more expensive than in our country and costs close to 100 euros if it is not for health purposes, but for travel purposes, so we hope for a cheaper option, such as an antigen test – notes Senicic.

SERBS WILL BE ABLE TO GO TO THE SEA IN GREECE THIS SUMMER, and these are the 5 MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES you must visit! PARADISE ON EARTH, they look like from another planet! Photo

Example of the price of summer holidays and tests for a family of four (one child older than 12 and one child younger than 10)

Destination Hanioti, Greece
Price per person 150 euros
Arrangement accommodation for ten days and transportation
The total price for a family of four is 600 euros
The price of the antigen test for Greece for three members is 230 euros
The price of the PCR test for returning to Serbia for three members is 268 euros
A total of 498 euros for testing

When it comes to the prices of the arrangements, the travel agencies claim that they will be similar to 2019 this year.

Andrej Todorović from the travel agency “Kontiki Travel” says that the final price lists will be formed only when the agreement on cooperation between Greece and Serbia is signed, that is, in fifteen days.

– The interest of our tourists is huge and already on Monday there were a lot of invitations from those who eagerly expect to go to the sea, but also as soon as possible for a spring vacation of a few days. People are most interested in individual travel, ie their own transportation, because it is so much easier for them to organize due to the epidemic and uncertainty. Also, we are in constant communication with our partners from Greece who are preparing apartments and eagerly awaiting our tourists – says Todorovic.

Prices in restaurants as last year

Ana Nikolic, owner of the Nikana Travel travel agency in Greece, says local prices in Greece have not changed from last year, when it was clear there would be no tourists.

– Gyros still cost from 2.5 to 3.2 euros. As for the restaurant, it depends a lot on the resort, but, for example, in the Olympic region, portion prices are lower, say, from 6 to 9 euros for a complete lunch, without drinks, while on Thassos and Sithonia they are from 8 to 12 euros. – says Nikolic.

An onslaught of arrangements

Dusan Atanasov from the “Big Blue” agency says that the great news is that travel agencies will have jobs this year, considering that passengers who have been vaccinated or tested will be allowed to enter Greece.

– After the catastrophic situation in tourism, the light at the end of the tunnel is finally visible, which makes the Serbs happy, for whom Greece is one of their favorite destinations. We have not formed prices yet, but for now, the forecasts are that the offer of the arrangement will be the same as last year. Tourists from our country are most interested in how complicated the procedure for going to the sea will be, considering the current epidemiological situation. We will soon have more information about that, and we are waiting for more and more detailed information from our partners from Greece – he adds.

No PCR is required for transit through Bulgaria

For now, our citizens can enter Bulgaria, with a mandatory PCR test not older than 72 hours. However, the citizens of Serbia who transit without detention are exempted from the obligation to have a negative PCR test, which means that it is possible to go through Bulgaria with an antigen test.
