Visar Vokrri from Riinvest Institute says that other markets should be explored besides those of the region where Kosovo exports more.

He said that recently there is a growing trend for exports to the US, which he thinks should continue to grow.

“Years have been exported 24-25 million euros worth in the US, while in January and February of this year were exported about 13 million. “We have an enormous increase.”

Vokrri in the show “Seven days with Beet” of Klan Kosova said that the private sector was forced to start work from scratch after the end of the war. But, for the state of this sector, Vokrri also blames the governments.

“Kosovo’s economy has undergone a complete deindustrialization during the 90s. Even the last war has destroyed even the little economy or private sector that has remained until then. “The private sector started from scratch after the war, but I can say that the lack of a development vision from all post-war governments has greatly contributed to the negative trade balance.”

He also spoke about Kosovo’s barriers to export to countries in the region.

“Since joining CEFTA, Kosovo has systematically faced various trade barriers from all countries without exception. We know very well that Serbia and Bosnia do not recognize Kosovo and these two countries are the most problematic in terms of exports. But Kosovo producers have also faced trade barriers in Albania, Montenegro and northern Macedonia. “All countries have applied barriers, whether of a political nature or various non-tariff or technical barriers.”

The Mayor of Prishtina, Shpend Ahmeti, has requested today from the Government led by Albin Kurti to provide from the USA half a million antiCOVID-19 vaccines for the citizens of Kosovo.

The request of the head of Pristina comes at a time when the country has so far received only 24 thousand doses of antiCOVID-19 vaccine, provided by the COVAX program.

“The United States has decided to share with friends the 70 million AstraZeneca vaccines they have previously contracted. I ask the Government of Kosovo to make a request to the US for 500 thousand vaccines. “Of course the US has many friends in need, but we do not lose anything if we ask,” Ahmeti wrote on Facebook.

The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, has received a lot of criticism due to not signing the contract with Pfizer, for providing new antiCOVID-19 vaccines for the citizens of Kosovo. But Minister Vitia has denied the allegations, saying they are untrue.

Vaccination in Kosovo started on March 29, a day after the first contingent of 24 thousand doses of vaccine “AstraZeneca” was received from COVAX.

In the last 24 hours, Kosovo has registered 194 new positive cases with coronavirus and 8 deaths.

The total number of positive cases is 104,390 cases out of 524,588 suspects in the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 2,148 deaths.

During the last 24 hours, 599 patients have been cured while the total number of cured to date is a total of 92,571 cases, while the number of active cases is 9,671.

The script was written by Nataša Drakulić. The DoP of the film is Milos Kodemo. The key characters are played by Biljana Čekić, Anja Stanić Ilić, Zlatan Vidović, Nikolina Friganović, Nataša Ninković, Vuk Kostić, Marko Janketić, Igor Đorđević, Tatjana Kecman, Bojan Žirović and Jovo Maksiovićs. The film was produced by Predrag Antonijević and Maksa Ćatović.

The shooting took place in March and April 2019 at locations in Serbia (Bela Crkva, Carska Bara, Belgrade). The budget was not dissolved.
