International media have reported about the accident that happened in Croatia, where the bus of the Kosovar company “Deva Tours” was involved, 10 people were killed and 44 were injured, 15 of them are in serious condition.
The French news agency “Euronews” wrote that the bus had Kosovo license plates and was on a regular line from Germany to the Kosovo capital Pristina.
“A bus veered off the highway and crashed in Croatia on Sunday morning, killing 10 people and injuring at least 30 others,” police said. “The bus collided around 06:00 in the morning near the town of Slavonski Brod on the highway between the capital, Zagreb and the Serbian border.”
The Associated Press also reported that the bus had 67 passengers, including children and two drivers.
Local police chief Franjo Galic described the crash as “one of the worst accidents I have ever seen”. The 45 injured were taken to hospitals in Slavonski Brod. Hospital chief Josip Samardzic said eight people had serious injuries. “The Minister of Health, Willy Baros, later said that 15 minors were passengers and that a girl was seriously injured,” the AP reported.
