The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti received today the director of the National Democratic Institute (NDI), Soderberg.
Soderberg congratulated Prime Minister Kurti on taking office and said he was ready to deepen cooperation, as he will now physically work in Kosovo.
The importance of the development and further deepening of democracy, in addition to being a continuous work and effort of the National Democratic Institute, it is already on the agenda of our government’s priorities, said Prime Minister Kurti. Democracy develops when policies are progressive and it deepens when even more women, youth and marginalized groups participate in it, he added.
The topic of the meeting was also the approaching local elections. The elections of February 14 this year were an example with their regular progress, said Prime Minister Kurti. From these elections, he continued, municipal leaderships should emerge, which serve the citizens responsibly and improve their daily lives.
