The Spanish Ministry of Labor said on Wednesday that the unemployment rate in this country has dropped to a historic level since data collection began in 1996.

The number of persons registered as unemployed has decreased by 129,378 last month, while in April by 39,012.
The unemployment rate currently stands at 3.78 million.
The data have shown that the number of unemployed persons has decreased in all areas, including manufacturing, agriculture and construction.
The number of unemployed persons under the age of 25 has also decreased by 9.27 percent, compared to the previous month. / REL
