The fight with Coronavirus at the Pulmonology Clinic ends

Kadri Hajdini is currently a patient who has passed the corona virus and is receiving treatment at the Pulmonology Clinic.

Since Hajdini is 73 years old, recovery is taking longer.

Because of the problems caused by the virus, he regrets not believing in the virus before.

Hajdini now says that he is looking forward to being vaccinated against Covid-19.

The same as him, lying in this clinic is Ismet Oraca.

The oraca has suffered lung damage from the corona virus, although it is now in better condition after treatment.

These two patients and 30 others are admitted to Pulmonology due to the consequences of Covid, and have already come out negative with the virus.

Apart from them at the Lung Clinic there are no longer any patients positive for the corona virus.

This is confirmed by the director of this clinic Musa Hoxha.

Although the pandemic situation has eased, Hoxha says that Covidi is leaving some serious consequences on the health of the infected.

Other UCCK clinics still have patients infected with Covid.

In the Infectious Diseases Clinic there are 75 patients with Covid 19, in Sports Medicine there are 41 patients.

Meanwhile, in the Gynecological and Pediatric Clinic there are only one patient who has the corona virus./express

The San Matteo hospital is where Patient 1, a 38-year-old Unilever worker named Mattia, was kept since he tested positive for Covid-19 on Feb. 21 and opened Italy’s health care crisis. The new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms for most people, but for some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness or death. Lulije Qafleshi from Prishtina, 57 years old, has been hospitalized in the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Prishtina, for 12 days, after she was infected with coronavirus.

Her clinical condition during this time was severe.

She said she was waiting to get the vaccine when she became infected with COVID-19.

Now she calls for vaccination.

“I appeal to everyone to be vaccinated because it is a very big risk without the vaccine.

I have been on therapy for 12 days.

“I recovered yesterday because I was in a very serious condition,” she said.

Fazli Jashari from Podujeva has also been hospitalized at the Infectious Diseases Clinic for two weeks.

He also said he was waiting to be vaccinated.

The symptoms of the disease, he says, were very severe.

“I had a high temperature and I was very tired.

I was very sorry. I did not believe that he would survive, that he would cope with the disease.

He who knows, like me who has tested the virus, gets the vaccine and protects the family.

“I go home today, even those who can be vaccinated, I will take them without asking and send them to be vaccinated”, he says.

In addition to the medical teams, the family members also take care of the infected in the Infectious Diseases Clinic.

Jeton Hoti takes care of his mother who is admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic.

Jetoni, who lives in Canada, has been vaccinated, but says his family in Kosovo has been reluctant to get vaccinated.

“They have not been vaccinated because one is telling a lie and now everyone is believing it.

But no one knows what that vaccine is.

That vaccine is for our protection.

“In a word, do not listen to others, but get vaccinated,” he said.

Hospitals are in charge

In Kosovo, the situation with COVID-19 has worsened and almost all new cases are of the Delta variant, which is a more contagious variant than the initial variant of the coronavirus.

On August 19, Kosovo registered a record number of new cases: 2,236 infections in one day.

The increase in the number of cases with coronavirus has started to burden the hospitals where the infected are treated.

As of August 19, the number of COVID-19 patients admitted to these hospitals is 527 patients.

At the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Prishtina, on August 19, there was no free bed.

Infectious disease specialist Izet Sadiku, told Radio Free Europe that out of 110 patients who are being treated at the Infectious Diseases Clinic, about 90 percent of them are on oxygen therapy and most are unvaccinated.

“Although it is a short time since this last wave started, but our impressions are that for this short time, the clinical forms are more severe than they have been in other phases. That is why we are appealing to people to respect the masses, to keep their distance, not to gather unnecessarily.

At the same time, opportunities should be created for them to be vaccinated as much as possible because the vaccine is the main means of preventing the disease “, said Sadiku.

According to US experts, vaccination against COVID-19 reduces the chances of vaccinated people becoming infected with coronavirus, but those who become infected with Delta after vaccination tend to spread the virus just like unvaccinated people.

Also, vaccinated people who became infected with the virus have milder symptoms of the disease and pass it on more quickly.

As of August 19, Kosovo has administered over 644 thousand vaccines. Fully vaccinated courses are over 221 thousand people.

Due to the deteriorating situation, from August 20, new restrictive measures against the pandemic enter into force in Kosovo. / rel /

The patient neither agrees to be operated on nor to leave the Infectious Diseases Clinic

Hakan Vula’s mother has been in the Surgery Clinic for more than two months.

Sheherzade Vula, who is 60 years old, suffers from a malignant disease and she has previously received medical treatment in Turkey.

The same, sought treatment in public health institutions of the country.

He has been staying at the Surgical Clinic for two months now, but now he is refusing the surgical intervention.

Her son says that the mother does not want to operate on him in this clinic, because he is sure that if she is operated on then she will die.

Therefore he wants to send him abroad for treatment.

Vula, in addition to his complaints about the doctors’ pessimism, says that it is true that he sometimes did not behave correctly towards the medical staff, but entirely because he is dissatisfied with his mother’s treatment there.

The director of the Surgical Clinic at UCCK, Ferat Sallahu confirms that the patient in question is refusing surgery.

He asks for understanding from her family, because for two months now she has been staying there without receiving treatment.

And Sallahu adds that since the patient refuses to be operated on then according to the regulation he must leave the hospital.

As the Vula family and the directorate of the Clinic are not finding understanding for this case, complaints from both parties have been sent to the Health Inspectorate and the Kosovo Police.

However, there is no action so far towards solving this problem.
