The Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj says that equipping and modernizing the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) to realize its sustainable responsibilities, is among its main operational objectives.

This is what Mehaj said while participating in the Traditional Adriatic Sea Defense and Airspace Fair (ASDA).

“Equipping and modernizing the Kosovo Security Force to carry out its sustainable responsibilities is one of my main operational objectives. For this reason, at the invitation of my Croatian counterpart, Minister Banozic, together with General Hazrolli, we traveled to Split, to participate in the Traditional Adriatic Sea Defense and Airspace Fair (ASDA) “, wrote Mehaj.

He further said that military purchases and any contractual project reached with Kosovo partners will be realized according to the system of agreement “State by state”.

During the three-day visit, in addition to meeting with Minister Banozic and the highest authorities of the Croatian defense industry, I will also meet with other counterparts and the highest representatives of the participating countries. “The Republic of Croatia is our strong regional ally and partner with whom we have intensified bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest, and of great importance for the regional interest and beyond,” he wrote.

After PDK MP Ganimete Musliu did not receive an answer to the questions she posed to Defense Minister Armend Mehaj, she demanded his dismissal.

According to Musliu, a minister who does not know what a minister is does not have what he wants.

“Deputies, please at least ask Vetëvendosje to dismiss Minister Mehaj. A minister who does not know what a minister is for “, said Musliu.

Further, she asked Mehaj whether all this is a violation of military protocol.

While Minister Mehaj said briefly that he will not answer such a question, because according to him any attempt to undo the success of the KSF harms the country.

The Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, has inspected the unit of the KSF Demining Company engaged in the demining operation in the area of ​​the village of Seçishtë of Hani i Elezit.

Mehaj was introduced to the mission, tasks, organizational structure, personnel, equipment, training, as well as joint local and international exercises and operations.

He praised the “sacred task in saving lives, the culminating results achieved so far, the high degree of professionalism and demonstrated skills of the members of the demining company.”

In the end, Meha assured that in the capacity of Minister of Defense, he will provide all the commitment, dedication and maximum support for the successful implementation of the unit plan within their demining operations and disposal of unexploded ordnance.

KSF demining operations, except in the village of Seçishtë, in the same period are being carried out in three other areas as in Babaj Bokës of Gjakova, Varosh and Lirisë Park of Ferizaj.
