Italian police have arrested a young Albanian man, who had hidden 1 kilogram of cocaine in his car.
According to Italian media, the Albanian, whose identity is not disclosed, was stopped by the police while traveling in a luxury sports car, an Audi A4 Rs.
Intrigued by the car, the carabinieri stopped the Albanian at the exit of the Sarzana highway, but the nervous behavior of the driver made them carefully control the vehicle.
After the search, the police managed to find hidden the amount of cocaine, which if thrown on the market would be worth 300 thousand euros.
Italian police investigations show that the Albanian was a liaison for the narcotics, as the drugs are thought to have come from northern Italy and were destined for the local market in La Spezia, in Val di Magra in the province of Massa Carrara./tch
