On Tuesday, May 18, starting at 19:30, Artpolis – Center for Art and Community presents the premiere of the dance theater play “Totem and Taboo” at the National Theater of Kosovo, choreographed by Robert Nuha and dramaturgy by Zana Hoxha.
The show is an experimental tandem of contemporary dance and minimal text that enables the audience to reflect on the issues raised which intertwine their lives and the Kosovar mentality.
“The play raises questions about major social situations and concerns, trauma, the impact of the pandemic and social hypocrisy but without reaching conclusions and in order to touch on the depth of experiences, emotions and events which come in the form of images and monologues. “The questions, reflections, issues and topics that are addressed remain isolated within the individual and collective” Frameworks “that are Taboo for society or fail to penetrate the public discourse”, it is said in the communiqué of “Artpolis”. / Voice
