The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today during the day held a virtual meeting with the Minister for European and American Neighborhood in the Government of the United Kingdom, Wendy Morton.
Morton, after congratulating Kurti on his victory in the February 14 elections, expressed his readiness to work together and increase cooperation between the two countries, especially on common agendas, such as the rule of law and the fight against corruption, as well as to continue with the assistance of the United Kingdom for Kosovo in the process of recruiting senior civil servants.
Further, Minister Morton spoke about the importance of continuing the dialogue with Serbia.
Kurti on the other hand thanked Minister Morton for the important role of the United Kingdom in Kosovo and the continuous support it offers to Kosovo in all areas, calling it one of the closest allies of the Republic of Kosovo.
He stressed that the United Kingdom, as a strong member of NATO, could help Kosovo accelerate its membership in the organization, and that it could play an important role for Commonwealth members in securing new recognitions. for Kosovo.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti also stressed that the priority of the Government is the creation of new jobs, and that the Government is ready to increase bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of economy and trade.
As for the dialogue with Serbia, he said that it should be well prepared and with principles, and it should serve the citizens.
