Response from the School Board, Parents’ Council and School Governing Board.
Today in a meeting with the school management, parents of different classes, members of the Parents’ Council, the Steering Council and the School Directorate we discussed in detail the case that happened in the school yard on weekends.
First of all, we want to confirm that the School Directorate, since receiving the video (dated April 24) from unidentified sources for the case in question, has taken all measures both inside and outside the school, notifying the parents of both parties, the Police of the Community, the Center for Social Work and other competent bodies, and all persons who may have been indirectly affected by the case.
We have been informed that all these institutions have been dealing with the case from the moment of notification (dt. April 24), and they have instructed the Directorate to keep the case in complete confidentiality in order to protect the welfare of children. Beyond that, we have been informed that the case has been handled and is being handled by both the school psychologist and an external psychologist.
We, as the School Principal, Parents’ Council and Governing Council, distance ourselves from all untrue reports and links of children, and invite all parents and beyond to refrain from comments that may aggravate the situation of children.
We ask the law enforcement agencies to take action against all those who pose a risk to children, both through the distribution of recordings / videos and through verbal abuse.
We also ask all parents and students of the school to cooperate with the class teachers, the School Board, the Parents’ Council and the Steering Council to handle the case so that the children do not feel insecure, the parents understand that the case is treated in detail and the non-discussion of the case in public was done in order to preserve the physical and mental condition of the children, according to the instructions received by the police, and not the silence as alluded to in the media.
Thank you for your continued understanding and support for the good of our children.
