One of the main players of Kosovo, Arlinda Hajdari, suffered a serious injury in last Thursday’s match against Cyprus, announced the Kosovo Handball Federation.
Arlinda was unstoppable in that match scoring seven goals from seven attempts. It was declared the best in the victory 30:21.
But in the second half, the 19-year-old who makes a career in the elite of Denmark, suffered a serious knee injury. She could not help Kosovo in the matches with Luxembourg and Portugal, but she supported her teammates from the stands, Zeri.info reports.
Arlinda has already returned to Denmark, while she is waiting for an appointment for knee surgery. Surgery is necessary, while the recovery phase will last from 9 to 12 months.
Arlinda is feeling better and no longer has knee pain. But her injury came at the worst moment, when she was going through really high form. Arlinda has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament, while there is extension of the internal lateral ligament. /Zeri.info
