Turkish-German midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan, has admitted that Lionel Messi is his favorite player, Zeri.info reports.

The Manchester City midfielder has stated that he has some favorite players, but that the Argentine striker tops his list.

“It is a difficult question. I would say that Leo Messi is my favorite footballer of all time because it is a pleasure to watch him play. “And fortunately I can still watch it,” he told Sky Sports Mexico.

“Of course there are other players I remember like Zinedine Zidane or Ronaldinho. “I have looked at many stars, but if I had to choose just one, he would probably be Messi,” said the German representative.
