LDK MP, Hykmete Bajrami said that the COVID-19 pandemic has hit education hard in the country.
In the session of the Assembly of Kosovo, Bajrami stressed that the organization of online learning, although in record time, has not fully compensated for schooling.
“This situation is followed by long-term effects.
“It is the responsibility of the Government to draft strategies and programs to compensate for the lost education and reduce the consequences caused by COVID-19”, said Bajrami, writes Telegrafi.
She added that on March 11, 2020, when the WHO declared a pandemic, the Government decided to close schools.
“As in every country in the world, in our country, MEST in March 2020, we were forced to build a distance learning system,” said Bajrami.
The former Minister of Education stressed that they agree that education is not in the state it should be, and according to her this is a consequence of the occupation.
“After the fall of cases with COVID-19, we recommend that MEST make a decision from Monday that teaching takes place in school facilities and full time,” said Bajrami.
She asked the Kurti Government to make the issue of education a priority, since, as she said, this government has its numbers in the Assembly. / Telegrafi /
