Seven cases of domestic violence during 24 hours in Kosovo, all female victims

Seven cases of domestic violence have been reported to the Police in the last 24 hours in Kosovo.

According to the report, all the victims of reporting are women who have been beaten and threatened by their husbands or ex-husbands, reports Zeri.info.

In Prishtina, based on the warrant, the male suspect was arrested as he is suspected of domestic violence. In consultation with the prosecutor the suspect was taken into custody.

Two cases of domestic violence have been reported in Fushë Kosovë / Kosovo Polje. In the first female victim, she reported that after a dispute she was physically assaulted by her husband. The same was arrested and with the decision of the prosecutor was sent to detention, while the case continues to be investigated.

In the second case, the suspect was arrested after he had sent threatening messages to the female victim, his ex-wife. In consultation with the prosecutor the suspect is taken into custody.

Meanwhile in Lipjan a woman reported that her husband was causing her physical and psychological violence.

“The suspect after the interview in consultation with the prosecutor has been released, the case goes to regular procedure”, it is said in the 24-hour police report, Zeri.info reports.

In Suhareka, a woman reported that after a dispute with her husband, the suspect threatened her over the phone.

“In relation to the case, the suspect was arrested after the interview in consultation with the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody”, the police announced.

In Peja, it was reported that a Kosovar male suspect was arrested after he attacked a Kosovar female victim, causing bodily injuries. After the interview in consultation with the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody.

A woman in Vushtrri also reported to the police that after a dispute her husband had used violence against her. The suspect has been arrested, the victim has received medical treatment. The parties were interviewed and by decision of the prosecutor were released in due process.

Meanwhile in Pristina, a woman complained to the police that her ex-husband, with whom they are in the process of divorcing her, ignored the court decision, as she took their two children and did not return them on time. according to the court decision. The case was initiated by order of the custodial prosecutor.
