The victory of Dallas over Phoenix with 99:95 on the road was overshadowed by the injury of its leader Luka Doncic at the very beginning of the match.
At the very start of the match, Dallas star Luka Dončić pulled his left leg back in one attack, stepped on an opposing player and injured his wrist.
He left the field and did not return to the game, and the extent of the injury and how much time off he will need to recover is still unknown.
Before leaving the game with a painful grimace, Dončić had one rebound and one miss, so this is the first match in his career without scored points.
Until this match, he was the most efficient player in the league with an average of 33.8 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game.
Now his average has dropped to 33 points and even the new leader of the list is taken over by Joel Embiid.
There remains hope that it is not a serious injury and that Dončić will find himself in the starting five of the West team in the All-Star Game scheduled for February 20.
Even without the Slovenian national team player, Dallas took the lead from the start and controlled the game until the very end and the final victory. The home team only managed to partially return to the match in the end and reduce the advantage of the guests.
The role of the most effective scorer in the winning team was taken by Spencer Dinwiddie with 36 scored points, while Johnson and Paul were the most effective in the Phoenix team with 22 scored points each.
