Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla, met with her Estonian counterpart, Minister Eva-Maria Liimets, in the framework of her meetings with chief diplomats and heads of state in New York, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
Liimets has stated that Estonia will support Kosovo’s path towards the EU.
The parties assessed that the relations between the two countries are very good and considered that bilateral cooperation should be deepened through political consultations between the two foreign ministries, in order to advance issues of interest to both countries.
The couple also talked about regional and European issues.
“The parties agreed that the advancement of the European agenda requires deep reforms, especially in the field of rule of law. At this point, Minister Gërvalla emphasized that the new Government of Kosovo has the main priority of strengthening law and order and that it is working hard in this direction “, it is said in the press release.
The announcement states that the Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs has reiterated her state’s supportive attitude towards Kosovo. / Voice
