The enormous increase in new cases of COVID-19 infections has led Germany to put Kosovo back on the list of high-risk countries.
This classification for Kosovo will enter into force on August 22, until the new conditions for entering the German state are made public.
“Epidemiological situation: Kosovo has been strongly affected by COVID-19. Finally, the number of infections has increased significantly. “Kosovo is classified as a high risk area, and this classification enters into force on August 22, 2021”, it is said on the website of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Foreign nationals over the age of 11, regardless of country of origin and route of travel, must present an incoming PCR test (not older than 72 hours before entry”, is the condition set by the German state.
“Travelers who have evidence that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have been vaccinated for at least two weeks do not need a negative entrance test,” it said.
While German citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary tourist visits to Kosovo.
Currently in Kosovo there are over 16 thousand active cases infected with COVID-19, while the country from today has entered a regime of measures. Nightclubs will be closed until September 1, weddings have been banned and gastronomy hours have been shortened. / Express /
