With the increase of new cases of COVID-19 in the country, the number of patients seeking medical help at the General Hospital “Isa Grezda” in Gjakova has increased.
The General Director of this hospital, Hilmi Shala, in the “Special Edition” in Klan Kosova said that in recent days the number of patients has increased as they are mobilized in all forms.
“As in all of Kosovo, in our municipality there is an increased influx of patients who are seeking medical help. “Today we have 48 hospitalized patients, of which 32 have tested positive for COVID-19.”
“We have 85 beds divided into five wards and we have enough human resources – even though we currently have a shortage of nurses because many are on annual leave. “But the whole situation is manageable and under control.”
“We have protective material used by health personnel and we are supplied with them and we are also with the medicines we need for the treatment of patients”, said Shala.
Shala, among other things, announced that no services have been stopped in the hospital and that the work continues normally with all the services they provide.
