From this Monday, September 6, the new anti-COVID measures at the border come into force. All travelers who want to enter the Republic of Albania will have to meet one of these three conditions: to have a vaccination passport, where from the date of full vaccination to have at least two weeks, negative PCR test within 72 hours and finally the rapid antigen test within 48 hours or have a test of passing Sars-Cov2 infection, valid for up to 6 months after cure.

Albanian citizens residing in Albania, who return home and do not have one of the above documents, must self-insulate for 10 days and inform the health authority to perform a test at the end of the isolation period.

These new rules are also valid for those citizens who transit through Albania.

The new anti-COVID measures came after the significant increase in cases of infection in the country, as a result of the spread of the Delta variant.

In the last 24 hours, 3 victims and 896 new cases of infection were registered in the country.

New rules

Starting from September 6, citizens who enter the Republic of Albania from all border crossings must meet one of the following three conditions:

Have a vaccination passport, where from the date of full vaccination have at least two weeks.

Have a negative PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test within 48 hours.

Have proof of passing Sars-Cov2 infection, valid up to 6 months after healing.

These rules are also valid for those citizens who transit through Albania.

Children up to 6 years old are not subject to these rules

Albanian citizens residing in Albania, who return and do not have one of the above documents, must self-isolate themselves for 10 days and inform the health authority to perform a test at the end of the isolation period.

Only traveling passengers will be allowed to enter the airport building, avoiding being escorted by their family members. These passengers must strictly observe the wearing of the mask, as recommended and as this change is reflected in the protocol of normal operation of airports.

The Gastronomers' Association demands from the Government to change a point of the anti-COVID measures in force

The Association of Gatronomers of Kosovo has expressed dissatisfaction with the new measures of the Government, in which case it has requested a change in one point in the decisions taken.

This association has asked to change the point where the Government has limited services only to the “open spaces” of the premises.

“Letter gj. point 34 of this decision provides that the meaning of the expression ‘enclosed space’ and ‘open space’ has the same meaning as the Law on Tobacco Control, where according to this Law, enclosed space is any space covered with a roof or ceiling, that is movable or immovable, and surrounded by two or more sides, regardless of the type of material used and regardless of whether the structure is permanent or temporary. Based on this point, and based on the terraces that a very large number of gastronomy bars have built, it turns out that they can not work! Consequently, such a point, as it is foreseen in this decision, we propose to leave, and to be allowed to work the premises that have these terraces, according to other points of this decision “, it is said in their announcement.

They also demanded that a measure for financial support be initiated and devised by the Ministry of Finance, for half of the rent of the premises and half of the salary of the workers for the gastronomy sector. / Voice

“Kosovo Police in this case also appealed, asking citizens, institutions, businesses to respect the latest decisions taken by the government,” said in a statement.

Further, the Police says that “as in the past, based on the law in question, the police will take punitive measures against violators of the law.”

Haxhiu tërhiqet nga kryesimi i grupit punues për ligjin anti-COVID, thotë se pozita po ndërhyn në punën e deputetëve

The request of the chairwoman of the Committee for Health Fatmire Kollçaku, addressed to the health institutions not to answer the questions of the PDK deputy Bekim Haxhiu, has clashed the deputies in today’s meeting where the monitoring of the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Fighting Pandemic is being discussed COVID-19.

Deputies from the position have accused PDK MP Bekim Haxhiu, who has abused the position of chairman of the working group, while Haxhiu said that the position has interfered in the work of the working group.

PDK MP Bekim Haxhiu stated that after the intervention of the chairwoman, the commission will withdraw from the leadership of the working group for monitoring the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said that such a request is a direct interference in the work of MPs and the work of the working group.

“It is a direct interference in the work of the deputies, in the work of the working group, it is absurd to send e-mails to institutions, do not respond to the deputies, it does not happen in North Korea, in North Korea or in China no one sends e- mail do not reply to MPs, this is nonsense[…]I can not work in a working group where it is sabotaged by the chairwoman of the majority committee. So, I withdraw from this working group and from any law monitoring group until you send e-mails to institutions not to give us information. “Monitor yourself, work yourself and realize yourself, you have that limited information”, he said.

The chairwoman of the commission, Fatmire Kollçaku, responding to MP Haxhiu said that he abused his position by sending requests to health institutions without consulting other MPs.

She also said that Haxhiu has left the field of study seeking data from the beginning of the pandemic, when the Law on Prevention and Combating the Pandemic COVID-19 was not in force.

“You as the chairman of the working group have abused your position by not discussing with other colleagues of the group, while on behalf of the group you signed and claimed to send a letter not like Bekim Haxhiu because at the moment as if you had addressed him as Bekim Haxhiu, that letter went unhindered, but at first you addressed the working group, this is the first misuse you have made. Secondly, the gentleman in question knows very well when the anti-COVID law was adopted at the end of August, while you, in the name of monitoring the anti-COVID law, ask for information since the beginning of the epidemic, which means January 2020, you have come out outside the object of study. “You have forgotten that this is not the anti-COVID commission of inquiry, but your suspicious nature can not leave you out of the role you had,” he said.

MP Bekim Haxhiu reacted again, saying that he does not understand why the MPs in position are worried about the reports they have requested.

“Why are you worried if we asked for a daily report on PCR tests, why are you worried if we asked for a daily report on the number of deaths in the Clinic, why are you worried about a daily report of PCR and rapid tests, why are you worried I do not understand what your concern is your. “What does it matter if they have those notes, they have reported them every day, they have reported them in general and today they are reported in general”, he said.

Haxhiu was also accused of non-cooperation by the LVV MP Labinotë Demi-Murtezi, who said that at the moment when a letter is written on behalf of the working group without the knowledge of all MPs, it is offensive to them.

“We have made only three visits as a monitoring group, they have been planned by two within a week, we are never on the agenda and even today you should at least apologize and not say I do not lead. It’s easier sir, but what have we done concretely. “Even according to the rules of procedure of the Assembly, a moral call when someone trusts you should at least be transparent, you have had maximum cooperation”, she said.

In the meeting of this committee was also discussed the monitoring of the Law on Mental Health, in which case the deputies agreed that the visits for this law to continue at the beginning of September.

The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, has started reporting to the Committee on Health.

During the reporting, Vitia said that the situation with the epidemic has significantly improved and the cases have decreased by 70%, while he mentioned that in the first week after taking over the Ministry of Health, the first contingent of anti-COVID vaccines arrived, Zeri reports. info.

The minister has criticized the former government led by Avdullah Hoti, from which, according to him, he has not accepted any contact with the manufacturers of vaccines, but says that they have made contacts themselves.

“As for vaccination, at the time of my arrival in office, the vaccination plan already existed and within a week we received the first contingent of vaccines from COVAX. Regarding the supply of vaccines, we have not been offered any contact with the manufacturers, we have established contacts and have already signed a contract. We were not even offered the confidentiality agreement, we had to provide them from the manufacturer. As you are informed, during this time it is important to mention that 1 million 200 thousand have been provided and together with the previous doses, by the end of the year we will have up to 2 million vaccines. “There will be efforts to provide even more vaccines,” said Vitia. / Voice
