Together with Prime Minister Kurti today we traveled to Tirana and participated in the meeting organized by the German Chancellor, Mrs. Angela Merkel, with the leaders of the Western Balkan countries.

Initially, in the framework of a joint working lunch, the challenges and the future of the region were discussed, focusing on the processes related to the integration of the Western Balkan countries into the European Union.

Then we held a special meeting with Chancellor Merkel where we first talked in detail about the new political reality in Kosovo and the long and fruitful partnership and cooperation between the two countries.

During the discussion on regional developments in the Western Balkans, it was emphasized that the Berlin Process is the common platform in the process of integration of the Western Balkan countries into the EU. Prime Minister Kurti also stressed the EU presence in regional initiatives as necessary for the region.
