The Basic Court in Prishtina has extended the detention measure for another two months against 19 officials of the Ministry of Agriculture who were arrested on suspicion of misuse of subsidies.

Such a decision to extend the detention measure was taken by the judge, Naser Foniqi, on July 30, 2021.

The decision states that the suspects Bejtullah Pira, Granit Abdyli, Valon Hoti, Enver Ibishi, Blerim Mulliqi, Kujtim Zariqi, Arsim Çela, Habibe Dauti, Musa Nivokazi, Lulzim Hajdaraj, Flamur Zeqiri, Blerim Asllani, Afrim Abazaj, Daut Kabashi Bekim Shala, Gzim Morina, Kastriot Berisha, Fuat Morina The detention measure is extended for a period of 2 (two) months, so according to this decision the detention of the defendants as above will be extended until September 30, 2021.

Gzim Morina is suspected that by giving incorrect data he had benefited close to 60 thousand euros, while Kastriot Berisha is suspected to have benefited in three cases the amount over 373 thousand euros.

Fuat Morina is suspected of having benefited over 118 thousand euros with forged documents, while Kumrije Maxharraj is suspected of cheating in the case of applying for subsidies by presenting inaccurate data, benefiting over 42 thousand euros.

The Basic Court in Prishtina has issued arrest warrants against Besnik and Hamit Beka, who are accused of obstructing AKP officials by threatening them with the words “you have nothing to beg for here, I will cut off your head”.
