Shpend Ahmeti for 8 years failed to build the fruit market in Prishtina!

One of the failures of the capital projects of the Mayor of Prishtina is undoubtedly the old market of the city in which during the day circulate thousands of citizens of Prishtina.

The biggest shame that has happened to the Capital is the total irresponsibility of the Municipality which never managed to meet the demands and needs of citizens who for years have been supplied with daily food items from this market which resembles a [moqeali] true. If there was responsibility and law enforcement, the fruit and vegetable market would have had to close completely long ago.

The current situation when citizens are fighting against the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Pristina market has become a source of various infections due to total lack of cleanliness and lack of infrastructure and minimal conditions. The situation in this market is alarming, fruits, vegetables, milk, cheese are sold there and in the same place different clothes and clothes are sold which without any control entered this market without knowing their origin. If you enter this market, which has remained at the mercy of no one, you will see that various goods have been collected here, which pose a permanent risk to the health of the population. The Mayor of the Capital of Kosovo, Shpend Ahmeti, is primarily responsible for the failure of this project, which should have been Pristina’s number one priority.

It is a great shame if any guest or delegation outside Kosovo accidentally visits this part of the city which has remained a black hole and the greatest shame of the Mayor and the Assembly of the Municipality of Prishtina. It should be noted that many years have passed when individuals [politikanet] have taken responsibility to serve the citizens, but failed without blushing at all for their promises and lies.

On the eve of the local elections which are expected to take place in October, it is time and moment for the citizens to think rightly that they have to vote. The worst example to be condemned with a free vote is the Mayor of Prishtina Shpend Ahmeti, who failed in the general leadership of the Municipality

The mayor of Prishtina, Shpend Ahmeti, has warned that politicians’ gatherings with citizens will not be held in schools.

He said in a Facebook post that school principals have pointed to pressure from staffs to allow election rallies.

“School principals and the Directorate of Education have announced that they are under pressure from staffs to allow gatherings with citizens inside schools due to rain. The answer is NO! Elections are being held in extraordinary conditions. “According to the instructions, any gathering of citizens in closed spaces should be limited”, said Ahmeti.

Full post:

School principals and the Directorate of Education have announced that they are under pressure from staffs to allow gatherings of citizens inside the schools due to rain.

The answer is NO! Elections are being held in extraordinary conditions. According to the instructions, any gathering of citizens indoors should be limited.

We do not have the capacity to implement vaccination permitting strategies or PCR. But even more importantly children’s learning is taking place in those spaces during the day. We should not risk even one case.

Since we are not in the race, I believe that we encounter the understanding of the parties that this strict decision is being implemented considering only the health of the citizens.

Still rallies in open places are allowed only with the measures taken by the Government. As in the national elections, we will not hesitate to impose sentences.

I thank all the candidates of the Municipality of Prishtina for understanding!

Shpend Ahmeti: I do not understand the citizen of Kosovo who opposes reciprocity

The mayor of Pristina, Shpend Ahmeti, has defended the country’s executive regarding reciprocity with Serbia.

“I understand (I do not understand) Serbia’s reaction to the measures with license plates. I understand (I do not understand) the reaction of Kosovo Serbs. I also understand the international angle for fear of any escalation. “But I do not understand the citizen of Kosovo (I am not saying only the Albanians) who oppose this measure, even if it is for a campaign”, Ahmeti wrote in his post.

He added that he hopes that the government has considered this decision as a strategy and not just as a step, the next reaction of the Serbian state in all likelihood will be the partial blockade of Kosovo trucks or any other economic blow.

“I also hope that the Government has thought of this as a strategy and not just as a single step. The next reaction of the Serbian state will in all likelihood be the partial blockade of Kosovo trucks or any other economic blow. “What others can and should do is to call for calm and prudence of citizens of all nationalities”, said the mayor of Prishtina./Zëri

Shpend Ahmeti calls for strict short-term measures to slow COVID infection

During the last 24 hours, Kosovo has registered 36 victims of COVID-19.

The mayor of Pristina, Shpend Ahmeti has reacted harshly demanding strict short-term measures in order to slow down COVID infection, and start mass vaccination to speed up protection against the COVID-19 virus.

“The difference between Kosovo and other countries with a similar number of infections is the percentage of vaccination. Strict short-term measures to slow down the infection and mass vaccination to speed up protection. There is no other way,” said Ahmeti’s reaction.

His full reaction:

36 – thirty-six. Fingers point later. Vaccination is our weakness. The difference between Kosovo and other countries with a similar number of infections is the percentage of vaccination.

None of the victims was fully vaccinated. But we still do not have enough vaccines, and we do not have enough will to be vaccinated. Leave the dialogue, visit everywhere in the friends who give us vaccines – Turkey e

Israel and any country that helps us.

Strict short-term measures to slow infection and mass vaccination to speed up protection. There is no other way.

We rent accounts later!

The next urban "massacre" in Prishtina, the revolted citizen alarms about the cutting of pines by the municipality of Shpend Ahmeti

The Municipality of Prishtina has foreseen that the green field at the Technical Faculty will be allocated space for the construction of the German Embassy in Prishtina.

However, this proposal is being opposed by a citizen of Prishtina.

He asked the municipal councilors to vote against item 3 of the agenda in the meeting of May 7, where this proposal is expected to be approved.

The revolted citizen has shown that the neighborhood ‘Mati1’, a part of the neighborhood ‘Bregu i Dielli’, that of ‘Ulpiana’ was used by family members as a recreational point.

Below we bring you the full post:

Dear,
Please vote AGAINST, in item no. 3, of the agenda in the next meeting on May 7, 2021!
If the pine park behind the UCCK Pediatric Clinic is the land that will be proposed for use to the German Embassy, please vote AGAINST!
I am writing to you, I am a resident of Mati neighborhood, “Muharrem Fejza” street, in Prishtina!
Prishtina, expanding without a plan and with wild constructions, is almost completely concreted. Many new neighborhoods, such as the one I live in, have a severe shortage of green space.
We, the neighborhood “Mati 1 (hospital neighborhood)”, a part of the neighborhood “Sunshine Coast” and the neighborhood “Ulpiana”, as a recreational space, as a family park use the green field under the technical faculty! This field is located near the “Ministry of Trade and Industry”, so in front of the space that the executive of our Municipality has allocated for the construction of the new building for the Embassy of Germany!
Ladies and gentlemen, the space dedicated to the construction of the embassy building in question, is planted with pines and there are many of them! They are grown and are extremely important to the air and the environment around them. Since I mentioned above the importance of greenery in Prishtina, its absence, cutting these pines would further degrade this issue!
As you may know, that space is adjacent to the city hospital, ie completely adjacent to the pediatric ward! Think how much the presence of those pines affects the healing of children!
Finally, the Mayor and his “vassals”:
Give up this space, in the name of the environment, in the name of health, children and the elderly and in the name of European values!
Sincerely and confidently in your reflection,
Dren Shahini
Resident of the neighborhood “Mati 1”, Prishtina

Shpend Ahmeti demands political compromise and avoidance of the crisis

The mayor of Prishtina, Shpend Ahmeti, has said that the electoral reform cannot be done overnight.

He says that provoking the elections in a situation of economic crisis and pandemic is “unprecedented ignorance”.

Ahmeti’s full post:

The election law has dozens of problems that need to be addressed in deep reform, including diaspora voting in consulates and embassies. Constitutional reform must also be done with the problems that accompany us in some elections.

But if you believe that you will be in government for 4 years, what is the point of amending the Election Law overnight. Even if he believes that reform should be done for local elections (for the diaspora to vote for assembly and mayor) there is still time.

On the other hand, provoking elections in situations of deep economic crisis and the time when the covid marks 1000 cases per day caused by the previous campaign is unprecedented.

We expected strong stability from the mandate won in the elections. Asking even more at the expense of the citizens is unfair. Sit down and compromise. Otherwise we have tremendous affinity to create crises out of nowhere.

The director of Shpend Ahmeti demands from the Kurti Government stricter anti-Covid measures

The Director of Health in Prishtina, Bujar Gashi, said that the high number of people affected by COVID-19 in the capital is worrying.

“Not only today, but also throughout the month of March we have had an increasing curve of the number of new cases with COVID-19 not only in Pristina, but throughout the country. I think that the large number of active cases with coronavirus is worrying, where in the capital alone we have close to four thousand active cases “.

“We are waiting for stricter measures from the new government, although I am against total closure. I called for greater respect for the measures set by the Law on COVID-19. “Respecting the measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus would be a good initiative and other measures would be welcome, because this growth trend has not stopped.”

Should something be done to Prime Minister Albin Kurti and presidential candidate Vjosa Osmani that in some photos published by Gërmia where they were with their families are seen without masks?

“If the measures are violated, then how will we ask health professionals to implement them? That would be unfair. I do not want to interfere considering that the fine is the competence of the Kosovo Police, but I think that the measures imposed against COVID-19 by law should be equal for all.

He stressed that from tomorrow the online platform “E-health” will be launched, through which advice is expected to be given by health staff to citizens affected by COVID-19.

VV MP stings Shpend Ahmeti after snowfall blocked the roads

Vetëvendosje Movement MP, Eman Rrahmani has ironized with the mayor of Pristina, Shpend Ahmeti as most roads are blocked due to snowfall.

Through a Facebook post, Rrahmani said ironically that Ahmeti is guarding the snow to fill the Pristina River.

“Shpend Ahmeti, he is not cleaning the roads because he is trying to save the snow to fill the RIVER with water!”, He wrote.

This reaction came after the director of Capital Investments in the Municipality of Prishtina, Gëzim Mehmeti, said that a river will be built on “Road A” in Prishtina.

The worst situation is presented on the highway Prishtina-Peja where, specifically in Slatina, at the entrance of the Business Park where columns have been created, but also in many cities of the country accidents have been caused.

The rains have caused traffic problems while long columns have been created along the roads leading to the capital Prishtina.

Long columns have been created on the “Ibrahim Rugova” highway, the Prizren-Gjakova road and the Prizren-Prishtina highway and the Peja-Prishtina highway.

Kosovo Police has appealed to citizens to show extra care while driving on the road due to heavy snowfall.
