The Water Services Regulatory Authority has approved the tariffs for Water Service Providers, for the period 2022-2024.
ARRU says that the tariffs for water and wastewater approved through this tariff process reflect the real cost of drinking water production, discharge and wastewater treatment and that the tariffs have been kept unchanged.
Fixed water tariffs in RWC “Prishtina” have not changed. There are changes only in some categories. Now the water tariff for the categories of household customers has increased by one cent. The volumetric tariff for water services from 43 cents has become 44 cents per cubic meter, while the volumetric tariff for wastewater services has changed from 0.05 to 0.06, so here too there has been an increase of one cent per cubic meter.
Whereas in the non-household categories (commercial and institutional), the volumetric tariff for water services was 0.69 per cubic meter, while now with the new tariffs it is 0.67, which means that there has been a reduction of two cents. Whereas, the volumetric tariff for wastewater services from 0.11 as it was, has now become 0.13 cents per cubic meter. So here there has been a price increase of two cents.
The fixed tariff remains at RWC “Hidroregjioni-Jugor” Prizren. The volumetric tariff for water services for the category of household customers has remained the same, ie 0.38 cents per cubic meter. The same tariff remained the volumetric tariff for wastewater services 0.14.
As for the non-household category (commercial and institutional), there are changes only in the volumetric tariffs for water services. From 0.67 cents per cubic meter, it is now 0.57 cents per cubic meter, so there has been a decrease. Whereas, the volumetric tariff for wastewater services by category remains the same.
