Donald Trump has attacked his successor as President of the United States, Joe Biden, accusing him of opening the gates of America and allowing a “hurricane” of refugees and “criminals” to enter the country.
In a statement to the media, the former president says that the Biden administration has shown disrespect and has mocked the staff of the Immigration and Customs Agency (ICE). “Our border is completely out of control thanks to the destructive leadership of Joe Biden,” Biden said.
“Border patrols and ICE agents have been ridiculed by the Biden administration. In our country a massive raid of people is taking place. Criminals who once left our territory immediately are now being left on the streets to commit horrific crimes. When I left office we had managed to make our border the safest in history. Under Biden it will get worse very soon. “He violated the oath to ensure the implementation of the constitution and our laws.”
President Biden did not respond directly, but White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki told a news conference. “We do not take advice from President Trump regarding immigration policies. “His were not only inhumane but also ineffective,” she said.
According to US authorities, in February alone, 100,000 illegal immigrants crossed the border between Mexico and the United States and were caught by border patrols, indicating that the real number could be even higher. / A2news
