In the framework of the Project “Sustainable and Inclusive Rural Economic Development” (SIRED), yesterday was distributed agricultural support packages for farmers in the Pristina region as a result of close cooperation of the Municipality of Pristina with the Austrian Office for Cooperation and Swiss Caritas in Kosovo.
In addition to representatives of the above institutions, part of the ceremony were farmers from the Pristina region and the National Association “Kosovo Raspberries” and “EuroFruti” as project partners.
The representative of the Municipality of Prishtina from the Directorate of Agriculture, Mr. Fexhri Hyseni stressed that the cooperation between the Austrian Agency for Cooperation, Swiss Caritas and the Municipality of Prishtina is continuing and that the support of the raspberry and farmers sector in the Municipality of Prishtina will be a good example that has potential for sector development. of agriculture.
The Director of the Austrian Cooperation Office, Mrs. Sandra Horina stressed that the purpose of the project has been and continues to be “supporting agriculture but also providing support to people to generate their own income, as well as providing assistance to families to stay and contribute to this country.”
