Joel Pohjanpalo scored the goal of Finland’s 1-0 victory over Denmark in Group B at Euro 2020.
Finland won 1-0 against Denmark in a match full of panic and anxiety, which was interrupted in the 43rd minute and resumed only after an hour and a half.
All of this came about because Denmark captain Christian Eriksen fell on the field unconscious after suffering a heart attack.
Eriksen’s injury affected all the players of both teams, the fans and anyone else who is related to the sport.
However, UEFA together with the representatives of the two national teams decided that the match should resume and in the end the Finns scored a victory.
The only goal of the match came in the 60th minute and it was Joel Pohjanpalo, who scored with a header after assisting Jere Uronen.
But Pohjanpalo made a big gesture after the goal, as he refused to celebrate Eriksen’s cause and his gesture was highly appreciated by all.
