It is suspected that in the village of Dreth of Leposavic, there is a mass grave with 23 Albanians killed during the war.
Kushtrim Gara from the Government Commission for the Missing tells RTV Dukagjini that besides the village of Dreth, it is suspected that there may be mass graves in three other locations in Kosovo.
“Apart from the village of Dreth, we have suspicions of mass graves in the village of Marina in the municipality of Skenderaj and some other locations in different parts of Kosovo,” said Gara.
The head of the KLMDNJ for the Mitrovica region, Halit Berani says that there are suspicions that 23 intellectuals from Mitrovica were killed in this location.
“In that country, 23 Albanians have fallen into the hands of Serbian criminals, all intellectuals, among whom is my brother. On April 19, they were captured and shot. “Two of them survived.”
The chairman of the Government Commission on Missing Persons is expected to hold a meeting to discuss several other locations suspected of possibly mass graves.
The director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Kosovo, Arsim Gërxhaliu said that they are waiting for satellite images for the exact location of the suspected mass grave./Telegrafi/
