The Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, stayed today in the village of Nakarade in Fushë Kosovë / Kosovo Polje, to honor the martyrs of the Mirena family, on the 22nd anniversary of their murder by the Serbian army and police.
After paying homage and placing flowers at the Memorial Complex, the Speaker of the Assembly Konjufca, in a keynote speech stressed that this massacre proves the magnitude of the genocide that Serbia has caused to our people.
Konjufca said that the many anniversaries of the massacres that Serbian forces have committed in Kosovo, constitute the genocide caused by Serbia on our people.
“It is very painful that there has never been a process of justice, really, for all the crimes of the Serbian police and army against the people of Kosovo. All those who fell for freedom will be honored and remembered as long as there is an Albanian nation, while we, as institutions, must be close to the families of martyrs and martyrs, who gave their lives for a free and independent Kosovo. “We must also do everything possible for Serbia to receive the deserved punishment,” Konjufca said.
On the night of April 21, 1999, 16 men and boys of the Mirena family were separated by Serb forces from their families to be executed and massacred. Even after two decades of this massacre, ordered by the Serbian state and carried out by the Serbian army and police, justice has not been done. / Voice
