One dead and two injured in shooting at a grocery store in New York

According to U.S. police, at least one person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting at a New York grocery store.

Nassau County police on social media announced that the person involved in the shooting at the ‘Stop and Shop’ in the West Hempstead area is 30-year-old Gabriel Dewitt Wilson.

“He is approximately 6’2 (inches) and is wearing a black baseball cap and a black sweatshirt. It was last seen heading west on the Hempstead Turnpike. “Please call 911 immediately if you have any information”, said the police, writes tch.

Witnesses said the victim was a 49-year-old store employee and the shooting took place inside a manager’s office, upstairs of the store.

The U.S. has been rocked by several high-profile shooting cases in recent weeks.
