The city heating company “Termokos” is ready to start the heating season, which is expected to start on October 15. Officials of this company said that everything is ready and promise that the quality of heating will be very good for about 15 thousand customers who are connected to the heating network. The citizens of Prishtina expressed their satisfaction with the services offered by the “Termokos” heating plant. But they say that all heating alternatives are unaffordable by the standard in Kosovo.

The spokesperson of “Termokos”, Aferdita Uka says that all the preparations that have been developed since the end of the last season 2020 2021 have been functional, for a good start of the heating season.

“Legally Termokos as the only district heating company in the city of Prishtina is obliged to be ready for the start of the heating season on October 15, so the deadline for the start of the heating season is October 15, while the end of the heating season is legally April 15 of the following year. So all the preparations that have taken place since the end of last season 2020/2021 have been functional for a better preparation for a good start to the start of the heating season 2021 2022. “These preparations have been developed according to the action plan that has been drafted by the relevant departments of our company, everything has gone as it is best according to the plan, we are at the end of these preparations before the start of supply for about 15 thousand customers”, she said.

Uka explains that the “Termokos” heating plant in Prishtina will continue with the normal heating of radiators in Prishtina apartments for another two years, because based on the project funded by the US Government, several digital units will be installed in normal radiators to start measuring how much the consumer spends within a month.

Air Quality Information Day in Kosovo was marked with a series of activities to inform the public about the health risks of air pollution.

These activities are organized by the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK) and the Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo (KHMI) in cooperation with the Municipality of Prishtina and with the support of the Millennium Foundation Kosovo.
