Suarez did not celebrate after the goal against Barcelona - but the striker reminded him of the phone call Koeman made to him when he left

Luis Suarez made Barcelona regret it and once they sold him last year, this Saturday night when he scored and assisted in the victory of Atletico Madrid (2-0).

The club’s fans were outraged when they saw one of their biggest players leave in the summer of 2020 and the decision taken now seems even more ridiculous when more than 12 months have passed.

Suarez was inexplicably allowed to sign with one of Barça’s biggest rivals in La Liga, but the strange deal was that the club would receive only 6 million euros in exchange.

Since then, Suarez has scored 25 goals in 47 games in the Spanish capital and has won the title.

Suarez had spoken about the phone call Ronald Koeman made to him last year, where he told him that the directors wanted him to leave.

“Koeman’s words were: ‘They [drejtorët] I was told to tell you. I was forced to train separately [nga ekipi i parë] “and was left out of the team for three friendly matches,” said Suarez.

But according to him, Koeman was the one who did not prefer him in the team.

So just imagine how Koeman must have felt when Suarez scored a high-class goal in Atletico Madrid’s 2-0 victory.

ANGELA MERKEL IS LEAVING TODAY, AND THESE ARE FOUR IMPORTANT MESSAGES SHE LEFT TO SERBIA! The Chancellor's arrival brought a lot to our country, and here is the most important thing!

Some of them have already resonated, such as those on the rule of law, the solution of the Kosovo knot, the dangers lurking from “other parts of the world”, and they also touched on the excavation of lithium.

She talked with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, about various topics, from Serbia’s European path, through its foreign policy, environmental protection and climate change, dual education …

Still, some things stood out.

The rule of law and promiseAlthough she did not directly say what European officials often repeat: that there would be no progress towards the EU without the rule of law, Angela Merkel touched on this area.

– We talked about reforms, about opening new chapters in the accession process. It is in the area of the legal system that it is important to make progress. The president presented his plans and made promises – Merkel said.

In translation, there is a problem with the rule of law, and we expect it to improve, and that it will be so, guarantees were given by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

Her message remains subject to interpretation, but the fact is that Merkel pointed out that she “met Mr. Vučić as a person who no longer makes false promises, but as a person who tries to put into practice what he promises.”

“I encourage further progress towards the rule of law, a plural society,” Merkel said.

A solution for Kosovo and the members of the Union
The inevitable topic was the old pain – the so-called Kosovo knot. How he will unravel is unknown for now, but the answer may be inferred from the chancellor’s statement.

– Some issues will be resolved at the end of the process. Everyone knows that not all member states have recognized Kosovo’s independence. The issue must be resolved in order for the current EU member states to answer in the affirmative on the issue of the EU accession process. There is no sense in talking about the end of a process before other problems are solved – Merkel said.

In translation, there is much that can be resolved on Serbia’s European path before the Kosovo issue really becomes to be or not to be. Then why wait with other challenges that are easier to solve? The message could also be understood in such a way that it may first be necessary to persuade the five members of the Union that have not recognized Kosovo’s independence to do so, which would then make it easier for the Union to reach a final agreement.

However, Merkel is certainly right in one thing – when she says that “the issue will not disappear”.

However, Vučić was more direct and made it clear what is more or less known to a part of the public – there is no Union without a solution for Kosovo.

– Are we aware that we will not be a member of the Union before that, that we are aware – said Vučić.

Danger from “other parts of the world
The German Chancellor confirmed the fear that the EU has when it comes to the relationship between the Western Balkans, and perhaps most of all Serbia, with other world powers, primarily Russia and China.

It is not unknown that Serbia often gets ducks from the Union because of them, sometimes louder, and sometimes a little quieter, but that does not change the essence.

– The geostrategic interest is for the countries of the Western Balkans to join the EU. “We have influences from other parts of the world, which is why we must keep in mind how important our geostrategic interest and the region’s approach to the Union are,” Merkel said.

Lithium excavation

The conversation with the lithium mine in Serbia has been heard far and wide, confirmed Merkel herself, who said that if any lithium excavations are realized in Serbia, “everything must be done in accordance with the highest standards, protecting the environment.”

– If the whole world is interested in that, Germany is also interested – Merkel said.

In translation, Germany also has an interest. Especially since, as Merkel herself stated, there is a large number of German investments in Serbia in the field of the automotive industry, while lithium is important for future mobility and battery making.

– Serbia has something that is really worth it. Of course, there are concerns about whether the exploitation will be carried out in accordance with environmental standards. The EU has good sustainability standards. It is not just a question of German interests, it is an issue that EU member states will deal with, because the preservation of the environment in Europe is a really important issue – Merkel said.

The media have been buzzing for days about the crowds at the border crossings where they wait for three hours, but those who took the bus at the border have been stuck for 15 hours.

At the exit from Serbia, in front of the Horgos border crossing, columns of passenger vehicles of about five kilometers were formed. Those who set off for Hungary by bus have been stuck at this crossing for 15 hours.

Dragica Bosnjakovic (56) left for Hungary yesterday, and at the border is from last night from half past eight in the evening.

– A total of 50 buses stand. First we were kept on our border, now we are on Hungary. Nobody tells us why they have been holding us for so long. It is unbearable, we are left without water, we will die of thirst. There are a lot of sick people here, I am a heart patient myself, and there are a lot of children. It’s unbearable now because the morning temperature has high, it’s too hot on the bus, and we only catch shade outside if there are trees – she said.

"Some Kosovars have left Serbs alive in vain", Vesa Luma reacts shocked after the fan message

The Beer Festival organized in Korça will return this year from August 18-22.

Among the participants, it is noticeable that the Serbian singer Goran Bregovic will also be invited.

This news was confirmed by the festival organizers themselves, who consider Bregovic as a special guest of the final night.

This news was not well received by Kosovo Albanians, who consider Goran Bregovic as one of the artists who inspired the massacres of Serbs against Kosovo.

Bregovic was the inspiration and idol of the Serbian army during the war in Kosovo, especially with the song “Kal.ashnikov”.

This news has been reported in the Kosovo media and Vesa Luma has also reacted in relation to it.

Not believing this news, she writes in a post: “I am convinced that it is a misinformation”.

But then she received a message from a “fan” from Albania that shocked her.

The person in question writes that Kosovo Albanians should forget the war and already make peace with Serbs.

But what has revived the artist the most is that fans say that Serbs should have killed more Kosovo Albanians.

“Why not be invited, you Kosovars are left with paranoia, after the war comes peace.

“Even though the war is over, you are boiling with blood for hatred, because some Kosovars I have known have left the Serbs alive in vain”, writes the fans.

Vesa has shared this message with everyone and writes on the side: “How is it possible that hundreds of messages like this come to me… is it possible? I am totally in shock… “.

Ava Max recounts the family's difficult past: My parents left Albania with only a suitcase in hand

World-renowned Albanian artist, Ava Max, has recently posed for the cover of the famous American magazine “Uproxx”.

While appearing quite attractive in the photo shoot for this magazine, Ava also gave an exclusive interview, not forgetting to mention her beloved homeland, Albania – which unfortunately she has not yet had the opportunity to visit until today .

“Amanda Ava Koçi was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on February 16, 1994, the same week that Celine Dion ‘The Power Of Love’ finally reached number one on the Billboard charts, a welcome welcome for an artist. which would soon gain recognition as the vocalist of power in her own right. And while family support is something many successful artists point out during their upbringing, for Ava Max, the way her parents and brother defended her dream that at a young age was important in her upbringing. “As the daughter of immigrants who left Albania during the fall of communism, from an early age Ava realized that her mother had been waiting for her dreams of being an opera singer to offer a better life to her daughter.” , writes American magazine.

“Of course, she had to give up her dream,” Ava Max told Uproxx. “Because she was an immigrant and had no money, she did not know the language very well, she had children – she had me! – So she gave up on her dream. When I started singing, I felt like she started living her dream through my dream, which is really wonderful, I think. “Now that I look at it again, I feel that this is partly the reason why I did it, because my mother supported me a lot and was always there for me”, said the Albanian artist.

“They built their dream home in Chesapeake and then sold it after living in it for three years,” she says. “I did not realize until later, how my Lord they actually sold their house! Again, looking back I’m like: ‘You guys leave everything!’ They really sacrificed everything for my dream. But they are like that, they left Albania with nothing but a suitcase in hand and a six-year-old, my brother. They lived in the Red Cross in Paris, France without money. But my father really wanted to come to America, so after a year we lived in a church my father came and told us, ‘We are going to America,’ she recalls.

“During their stay in Paris, the family became involved with a woman from Wisconsin who helped them immigrate to America, and they lived in Milwaukee for the first few years in the United States. Shortly after Ava was born, the family moved to Virginia to escape the brutal winters of the Midwest and there she grew up. As Ava’s vocal talent began to emerge slowly, her mother’s support helped catapult the young singer into the spotlight. “Starting with city races and eventually traveling to major cities for more prestigious events, her early success was very promising to be ignored,” Uproxx magazine wrote.

“I started singing at a really young age and I sang with my mother. She would sing at home and has this really beautiful operatic voice. So I said, ‘Oh my God, I want to sing!’ Everyone always told me how good my voice was – but as a kid, you did not understand what a good voice was. I was like, ‘Oh well, I like to sing. I think I will try to perform ‘. So I started performing for my neighbors, then I started participating in singing competitions, like the Radio Disney competitions that would come to town. I started in Virginia, then I started winning contests. My mother said, ‘Okay, let’s do some more.’ So she found some in Florida, and some in New York. “It was a madness,” the 26-year-old recalls.

Convinced that Los Angeles was the right place for Ava to be discovered and start her career, the Koçi family made their way to California – to face disappointment unfortunately. Living in the Valley even then, in Sherman Oaks, Ava recalls sending her collection of original songs to a label, feeling ready to sign a contract and get started. But really, like most 14- and 15-year-olds, she was not mature enough to navigate the industry. So after a year of living in Los Angeles, her family moved east to South Carolina, where her father found work.

“Time is everything,” she says. “I had this package of songs. It always seemed to me like they would sign me and never sign it. I was sad at the time. I said, ‘I just want to sign a contract, I want to work’. I thought I was ready, but somehow I was not, because I had a lot to grow. But you do not know this when you are a child. It happens that way. I feel like I had everything after “Sweet But Psycho” really came in as a hit. “But I did not know this until that song came out – and then I felt it,” said the singer, originally from Albania. / balkanweb

The pandemic left 10 percent of women unemployed in the Pristina region

In Pristina, women were hit by the pandemic, leaving 10 percent of them unemployed for six months to 1 year, compared to 4 percent for men. Emphasis is placed on the lack of safety and health at work, where a large number are endangered in the workplace.

The Kosovo Stability Initiative today launched the report “Citizens’ Perceptions and Attitudes in the Prishtina Region”, which surveyed 200 women and men in the Prishtina region, in order to inform decision-makers and the government on key social and welfare policies.

Mrika Sefaj from IKS said that food and household supplies account for between 10 and 80 percent of household costs. While the average household income spent on this category of expenses is 45.5 percent which is considerable.

“An extremely high number of female respondents have not been employed in the last 6 months to the last 1, claiming that the pandemic has hit them the most by 43.5 percent. Women looking for work are twice as likely as to be out of the labor market than men, “she said.

Among other things, more than most women and young people prefer to be employed abroad.

“Women and young people of 72 percent prefer to be employed abroad, compared to men who have a lower interest rate of 42 percent,” she said.

The director of IKS, Brikenë Hoxha emphasized that they are committed to women’s rights, and that they are working to provide empirical data to public policies.

And, UNOPS project manager, Visare Gorani said that although Kosovo has good laws, there are delays in their implementation.

“No one knows how the employer handles accidents at work. We have had cases where the whole family falls into the trap of unemployment. It is important that our focus, occupational health and safety at work, should have good regulations, policies “where they would enable decent work for all,” she said.

From the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo, Avni Ajdini said that safety and health at work is very sluggish.

“Workers minimum wage since 2011 has not moved at all of 170 euros. Although there have been promises there is no movement. We have plenty to discuss but we need to work much harder,” he said.

The survey and this report are part of the project “Support to the Social Justice Coalition”, which is within the framework of the UNOPS project “Promoting decent work through strengthening OSH management and social dialogue in Kosovo”.

As a witness of one time, it was bequeathed to the inhabitants of this village and the primary school, whose students are the most frequent visitors, considering that they hold classes in history, geography, but also getting to know the folk tradition.

Sergej Kalčić left the Ethno House to the local community of Veliki Izvor and the elementary school 14 years ago after his death, a world traveler, travel writer and chronicler who, after visiting various destinations, was always happy to come and return to his Veliki Izvor.

“In this building, which is of exceptional importance for this area because it testifies to life in ancient times in this region, there are authentic things and objects that were used by our ancestors. From the kitchen, with the complete utensils that were used at the time, the bedroom, the instruments that were played and everything else that made up one piece of furniture at the time.

The identity of the inhabitants of the village of Veliki Izvor and their roots is best evidenced by the most authentic example of woodcarving that adorns one of the walls of the building and which is the most valuable exhibit of this kind of ethno exhibition.

It is a woodcut from the time of the migration of Serbs, when most of the inhabitants of Veliki Izvor moved right here to these parts from the area of Kosovo and Metohija, says Neli Nikolić, the president of the Council of the Local Community of Veliki Izvor.

Today, the visitors of the Ethno House are mostly students, dreamers who gladly come here and, with the illustration of everything preserved, more easily accept the teaching process, getting to know each other by examples and the way of life of that time.

“I am glad that we have an Ethno House like this here, which we can come to whenever we want, and especially when we have classes in history, geography, especially folk crafts.” Everything that other children get to know through the theoretical type of teaching, we are able to show our children to personally see what was then used as a subject for the normal functioning of life at that time, which left a kind of trace, says Violeta Glisic.

The director of the elementary school “Vuk Karadzic” does not hesitate to tell her students something and later explain what it is about, in the traditional, original language. Sergej Kalčić also wrote several books and documentaries about his village.
