The start of the 2021/2022 edition of the Kosovo Super League in handball in men’s competition has been postponed.
The new edition was supposed to start on September 11, but the Kosovo Handball Federation has decided that the first round matches will be played on September 22 and 23.
This decision was made due to the participation of teams in European competitions.
Full three Super League teams have European matches on 11/12 and 18/19 September.
This means that many matches would be postponed, as it was decided that the championship would start a little later, immediately after the matches of the first round of the European Cup.
The start of the championship has been postponed due to the aggravated situation with COVID-19, respectively for performing medical examinations and vaccination.
FHK also appealed to clubs to vaccinate players and all staff in the fight against the pandemic.
Meanwhile the Girls Super League will start on September 18th.
The teams are in the throes of preparations for a successful appearance on the European stage, but also for the new edition of the Super League.
