Once upon a time, he was a minister in Afghanistan. Today in Germany, he works as a food distributor: 6 days a week, 10 hours on weekends.
Dressed in orange, knocking on doors to deliver pizzas and other snacks, Sayed Sadaat leaves no impression of the man who once headed the communications ministry in his home country. But he does not regret it. “Work is work,” the former minister said humbly.
“For me it is something new and it excites me. I am exploring the area, I see villages, I see different places. It is exercise at the same time. Take a look at the bike, it’s fitness: I do 1,200 km a month “.
Saddaat added that like him, there are plenty of other refugees who make a living by sweating.
“Not all immigrants are here just to get money from the government. They work hard. They pay taxes to this country, they do it full of other positive things. Therefore, my message is for immigrants to see that they have a lot of good qualities and are inclined to integrate in this society “.
The former minister said that his great hope is for Afghanistan to return to a stable, secure, peaceful and prosperous country in terms of work, education and health. / tch
