The Municipality of Prishtina presented the findings of two studies related to the seroprevalence of SARS-COV-2.
On this occasion, the mayor of this municipality, Shpend Ahmeti said that from the research they have done it has resulted that about 47 percent of the citizens of the Municipality of Prishtina have been infected with COVID-19.
“The main facts that are for the citizens is that about 47 percent of the citizens of the Municipality of Prishtina have tested positive for COVID. 48 percent of health workers are positive either by serological test or by PCR. 17 percent are serologically positive while about 39 percent are positive by PCR test. “From our employees at QKMF, there were few doctors who were not infected”, he said.
Ahmeti indicated that about 21 percent of municipal workers tested positive for serology.
While, in reducing new cases of COVID-19 in this municipality, Ahmeti said that the infection of a large number of citizens of Pristina has made the number of new cases now lower.
Otherwise, he has seen the importance of vaccinating citizens against this virus.
