Biden: A minute of silence for half 1,000,000 victims of COVID-19 within the US

US President Joseph Biden called on citizens to observe a minute of silence on Monday over the deaths of more than half a million US citizens as a result of the corona virus.

Biden and his wife Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris will hold a minute of silence at 6:15 p.m. local time at the White House.

“I invite Americans to join us and remember the more than 500,000 Americans who lost their lives to COVID-19,” Biden told Reuters.

The President of the United States also ordered that flags at federal and military facilities be lowered to half-staff in the next five days.
