Citaku says Kosovo is sending signals of cooling of relations in many countries with the lack of ambassadors – Latest News
PDK Deputy Chairman Vlora Çitaku has criticized the government for delays in appointing new ambassadors to many countries.
According to Çitaku, the withdrawal of ambassadors in this way, as the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs has done, sends bad signals to other countries.
“This is one of the moments when we have seen abstention in government, it has been known since February that ambassadors should be appointed, in fact it has been more than three months since ambassadors were fired from world capitals. We have been without an ambassador in London for three years now. “In diplomacy, these are signals, when you do not send ambassadors, you demonstrate the cooling of relations, the other act is the termination of diplomatic relations”, said Çitkau on Radio Prishtina, Zeri.info reports.
The former ambassador to the US said that many countries understand the lack of ambassadors, as they know that the problems with not appointing them are internal.
She added that as a former ambassador, she would offer full cooperation to the future ambassador or ambassador to the US.
“Fortunately, they know us and know that it was not done on purpose and has nothing to do with them, but more with us. This shows extreme irresponsibility. “I hope that as soon as the new ambassadors are selected, I will offer the full cooperation to the ambassador or the ambassador in Washington immediately”, added Çitaku./Zëri
