Ferdonije Qerkezi welcomes dialogue on missing persons: Nothing can be done without talks – Latest News
Ferdonije Qerkezi, the hero of the Kosovo war from the city of Gjakova, who lost her husband and four sons by Serbian forces, in 1999 welcomed the resumption of talks where the issue of missing persons could be a possible topic.
“Nothing can be done without talks. “With talks, something can be done”, declared for RTV Dukagjini, the mother from Gjakova.
Ms. Qerkezi expects the new government to do more for the fate of the missing without denying the contribution of previous governments.
The mother’s eldest and youngest son from Gjakova have been found, while the husband and two other sons have not yet been found.
“I hope that one day my husband and two other sons and the sons of all mothers in Kosovo will be found,” Ferdonija said.
Qerkezi says that the current house will become a museum to show generations what Serbia has done in Kosovo./Telegrafi/
