The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu has announced a decision which the Government has taken today along with other anti-COVID measures.
Haxhiu announced that with the decision of the Government, pregnant women who are employed in the public and private sector are fired as a measure to protect their lives and the lives of children, Zeri.info reports.
“In order to protect the lives of women and children, today the Government took a decision to dismiss pregnant women,” said Haxhiu.
The minister said that pregnant women who are fired will not be removed from the payroll.
“Where possible pregnant women will work from home while there are other circumstances when this may not be possible so they can not be removed from the payroll. This measure applies to both public and private institutions therefore it must be implemented by employers “, said the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu.
