The Social Democratic Party has decided not to participate in the local elections which will be held on October 17 this year, reports Zeri.info.
This was stated by them in a press release, while emphasizing that regarding the municipality of Kamenica, which they lead, the PSD has indicated that they have delegated the right to decide for themselves whether or not to participate in the elections.
“After analyzing the discussions within the structures, PSD has decided not to participate in the local elections that will be held on October 17, 2021. This decision does not come because we have made a hierarchy of priorities where local elections are not the beginning. We are convinced that even these elections, as if the parliamentary elections are a framework of political struggle that we will not accept. Number, law and force are the terms drawn by power. Our position is outside of them, as a worldview and as a practice. At the same time, today we have delegated to the Working Group of Kamenica and Mayor Kastrati the decision for eventual participation in the Municipality of Kamenica. “Each of their assessments is acceptable to us”, it is said in this communiqué. / Voice
