BELGRADE (Serbia), December 23 (SeeNews) – The Serbian sugar producer Sunoko, part of the diversified conglomerate MK Group, has opened a research and development center for sugar beet production.
The center will ensure more efficient sugar beet production based on the latest scientific knowledge and understanding, as well as good agricultural practice guidelines, Sunoko said in a statement on Tuesday.
In December 2019, Sunoko plans to invest 1 million euros in setting up a research center for sugar beet production.
Sunoko produces up to 400,000 tons of sugar per year at its three production sites in Kovacica, Vrbas and Pecinci in the northern province of Vojvodina.
